3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
The color is warm golden and the head is white and creamy. The aroma has notes of malt, fruit, candy sugar (alcohol but only initially). The flavor is sweet, a bit too sweet for my liking, and it has notes of malt, candy sugar, light fruit and a touch of alcohol in the slightly dry finish.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
bottle, bought at the brewery. Clear amber-golden yellow, large white head. Fruity-hoppy nose. Full-bodied, sweetish maltyness with some spicy hops, giving the beer a bitter-sweet character. Slightly fruity. A very nice Heller Bock.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(bottle) almost clear, deep golden colour with an eggshell-coloured foamy layer. Sweet pale malty, biscuit-like aroma with a tinge of honey. Sweet flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Sweet pale malt character, strawy taste with a tinge of honey; sweet and slightly bitter malt-accented finish. This pale Bock is a bit on the sweet side but anyway pretty drinkable (19.07.07).

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle (by kind permission of joss !): Deep golden coloured, small, slowly diminishing white fluffy head; sweet-malty, honeyish nose with a tinge of metal; moderate sweet, very faint bitter flavour, medium bodied; sweet malty finish with traces of fruitiness and some hoppy illusions in the aftertaste. A bit on the sweet side, but very pleasant.........

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, hazy copper colour, with a thick creamy off-white head. Honeyish rich flowery and berrylike aroma. Crisp onset, supported by a sparkling mouthfeel, mellowing off onto a solid malt plateau, flowers, nuts, light wooden notes. Perfect balance - never sweet and cloying. Heather honey and aromatic hop aftertaste.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Transparent, magnifying and brilliant pale copper in color with a booming, nearly one-inch tall head that moves like a bubbly sunny-side-up egg in its initial stages in the frying pan. Luring aroma consists of rich caramel, anise, peppery toffee nougats, buttery maple sweet bread, fatty vanilla crème and freshly cracked caramel malt. Exhibits a vibrant yet calming sense. Rich flavor with a buoyant blonde bock body. Caramel is in abundance with a spicy, dry flare. Chewy stuff. Some honey and maple are infused into sugary, scratchy sourdough. Wheat stalks and tall tallow weeds impart an earthen edge. Seeping oiliness and a thick sluice with an extremely dry tongue scrape on the outtake. Fantastically balanced with an aggressive noble hop arrangement. Finish comes through in like fashion with pepper, honey, cedar and sweet, crisp pears sprinkled with anise to liven the ignition. This might be the blonde bock at its best.
