Gr0ve (1382), Oslo, Norway Jul 1, 2007 330 ml bottle. Cloudy whitish yellow colour. Throws atall fine-laced white head. Soapy and metallic lemon aroma. Soft texture. Flavour is much like Pez. Smooth wheat flavours and lots of citrus, mostly lemon. Nicely balanced, but feels somewhat artificial. That said it is quite drinkable and refreshing. svane (4), Finland does not count Jun 30, 2007 300 ml bottle. Nice bottle. I will never drink this beer again. Taste is really bad. WeeHeavySD (2940), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Jun 27, 2007 Beer 111 Summer 2006 trip in Europe. Drank on 7/22/06 @ a little side walk kiosk in Copenhagen. Not bad, had to try it for the bottle and my friend Josh who used to love Kronenbourg. redlight (1445), Winter Park, Florida, USA Jun 16, 2007 25cl bottle. Citrus aroma, with hints of sourness. Pours cloudy yellow. Flavor is actually nice, reminds me of a berliner weisse mixed with a wit, berliner wit? ha. seriously though, good citrus flavor, orange with lemons, some nice tartness, with spices and some sweetness. The more i drank the more pineapple i got. not great not horrible. scanovajr (361), Stanford, California, USA Jun 14, 2007 Pours hazy pale yellow. Citric aroma. Taste is lemon and sweet. Very watery. TheGrandMaster (1846), Auckland, New Zealand Jun 11, 2007 Bottle, poured a very ugly milky pale gold with a tightly foamed white head. A very strong zesty cirtus aroma with the apricot coming through cleanly as well - actually smells good. The mouthfeel is a little like thin and off milk - hardly appertising. Someone said the flavour is like diluted orange juice, and that is spot on. A little yeast coming through, but not much like your typical (enjoyable) witbeir. Though better than your standard Kronenbourg - but that’s not saying much. beervis (223), People’s Republic of Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, England Jun 1, 2007 Best bit of this one is appearance - Cloudy peach colour with thick creamy white head. Unbalanced. Strong citrus aroma, flavour apricot, lemon. Thin mouthfeel, refreshing but over sweet and very artificial tasting. A little ’beer flavour’ on the swallow. Aftertaste a little cacky. Pretty unconvincing as a wit, and very overpriced. Poor. pilsnerrogge (1769), Finspång, Sweden May 28, 2007 [Blue bottle] Pale, hazy yellow. Dense head. Strong citrus aroma. Watery mouth feel; tastes like diluted orange juice. Witbier has never been one of my favourite styles and this certianly didn’t help.
