1664 White is a fresh and fruity white beer. Because of its flavor and its design, it embodies the elegance and taste of French in the world of wheat beers. Authentic, it is accessible and slightly fruity, revealing subtle aromas of citrus, lemon and coriander.

First beer of my French tasting evening, a white 500ml bottle best before 31st May 2008, drank in Oct 2007. Poured into a Hoegaarden Grand Cru glass. Very pale and cloudy, a weak yellow lemon colour, a sort of thin Hoegaarden Witbier appearance, with next to no head. Citrus fruits allover the place in the aroma, lemons and grapefruit mostly. Although the beer looked a little weak it did have some umph and I thought it was OK, the taste was a sour fruity-cum-lemony-spicey mix which would have been ideal on a hot summers day. The flavours did stay and nothing nasty turned up like they often can in Witbiers. Again although it looked wishy-washy it was OK. Nothing wrong with this beer, it was a lot better than I thought it would be.

Doesn’t smell bad necessarily, almost an aroma of peach with the wheat. The look is cloudy, and about proper for the style but the taste really brings it down. The peachiness remains but sours quickly, balls up in the back of your throat. Bottle.

Draft at Budapest restaurant Menza. Unfiltered, bright hazy yellow with foamy white head. Perfumy, slight lemongrass. Slight fruity, alc-perfume body. very odd. not such a fan, very flowery. but drinkable.

Pretty fancy bottle. Very fruity beer.....peach dominant but blends well with the natural beer flavour. Would be nice on a hot summer day.

Golden yellow with thick foam head. Very fruity, peach, but not too sweet. Nice aftertaste. (Ufa 201204) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

bottle. Poured straw coloured, a bit hazy, with a thin white head. Aroma of candied lemon drops. Carbonated mouthfeel, light body. Wheat based flavour, notes of lemon, bubblegum, a hint of spice. Refreshing.

Not much here. Some fruit on the nose and on the palate. Otherwise fairly bland. Something I would chug on a hot summer day....very easy to drink.

Bottle. Pours a yellow colour with a medium size white head, plenty of fruit and some spice in the aroma, the taste is all tropical fruit with a dry finish.

Looks like witbier. Little foam.Really no aroma or smell and very little aftertaste. Fruity taste, hint of strawberry. Best for hot summerdays.
