COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
1664 White is a fresh and fruity white beer. Because of its flavor and its design, it embodies the elegance and taste of French in the world of wheat beers. Authentic, it is accessible and slightly fruity, revealing subtle aromas of citrus, lemon and coriander.

Fruity, citrusy, lemon, orange, bit thin, but quite enjoyable, Apples and pears. Ap: hazy golden colour, medium White head. F: flowery, artificial additives, like candy, citrusy, bit thin and watery. M: bit thin. T: Goes down easy enough, too easy to be frank.

Apricot aromas. Apricot and spice flavors. Finishes a little quick. Overall a decent wit.

On tap @ Henrik. This is a cloudy straw golden one - looks like well used dishwasher water this and it has a small creamy off-white top. The nose is not nice at all. Smells of old lemons, grains, refrigeration water and it’s just unpleasant. It has a soft oily mouthfeel and a sprinkling average carbonation level. The taste has more old citric tones, wheat, some hay/grassy thing. Not mine thang. 08.12.2012

Aroma är rätt intressant. Fruktig och känner en hint av gummi. Typ kondom?! Smaken, sur och allmänt jävlig.

Cloudy golden colour; Small head and foam which fades in less than 1 minute; Light body, so-so lacing with weak to minimal carbonation; Strong and persisting aroma of grapefruit, peach and lemon; Taste is mild in line with Belgian white / witbier, muted sweetness with orange, trace of coriander, and a bubbly citric tartness finish. No hop bitterness. Slightly dry after taste.

Comments: compares to Hoegaarden, this one has a stronger aroma and taste; on the minus side, the appearance is disappointing, citrus aroma seems artificial, head and carbonation is very weak, and a watery body. Even though I am not a fan of Hoegaarden, this one is in no way to overtake the “standard”. If I really want something mindlessly strong, well this is it. Then again, this is not what witbier is about, right?

Fruity, orange flavour over the usual Kronenbourg 1664. Pours a misty beige, with a fruity beer aroma.

Aroma has orange, touch of lemon, some mandarin notes, and even maybe a touch of apricot and peach. Appearance is a nice opaque yellow colour with a light large-bubbled white head. Taste is nice peach and orange peel notes, peach dominates, touch of apricot and lemon. Palate has a nice effervescence and touch of tartness and bitterness around mouth, on cheeks in particular. Overall, surprisingly good blanche for 1664.

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy pale golden colour with average to huge, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity aroma has an intense, minimally artificial, peach note. Taste is initially moderately sweet fruity with a peach note, later with a citrusy sherbet touch - slightly artificial throughout; a bit flat and watery overall.
