2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
[bottle from peckhams] appearance is a very light straw colour, cloudy, with a moderate but quickly dispersing head. The nose is fruity in a plastic way, reminding me of fruit salads (the chewy sweet). The body in watery and aggressively carbonated, tastes like perry water. bland and unpleasant to drink.

I was surprised with this one, very fruity taste, enjoyable, a clearer appearance, a sweet taste to it and an overall great experience, this was worth getting a pint of

UPDATED: AUG 29, 2005 I must admit this looks really good..typically cloudy with a thick white head. That’s one unusual nose, certainly fruity, spice comes through as it warms up, palate is light, with a well balanced friut/spice flavour..finish is rather short. Very refreshing stuff.. but there’s something about the nose that doesn’t seem right ( artificial???) Is this bottle conditioned or is it artificially cloudy, the white bottle doesn’t let you see if there’s yeast at the bottom of the bottle. Tesco Galashiels, price unkwown as the wife brought it home and lost the receipt

Draught in Blackfriars, Glasgow. Absolutely awful sherbert lemon sweetness just ruined this for me. Fizzy pop. Yeuch.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy, light yellow with slim white head. Citrus and spice aroma. Taste - this beer appears to be the highest RB rated one from Kronenbourg, and I would agree - citrus flavours, fairly highly carbonated, crisp, refreshing, drinkable, thin mouthfeel, lack of character. Overall not too bad.

Bottled, from Tesco. Hazy lemon yellow, thin but sustained white head and low condition. Initialy citric nose that starts lemon and becomes grapefruit with time, joined by a low spicy corriander note. Soft and slight in the mouth with traces of grapefruit and lemon and some chalkiness. Brief citric finish with traces of spice. Halfarsed attempt at a witbier. A halfwit.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Although different to my usual style of beer, an immencly refreshing beer.
I havnt really tasted anything like this, really thin and no body at all, but citrus and creamy almost feel is excellent.
One to have in summer on a hot day and for a session, nothing special otherwise do to lack of any sort of body.

Keg @ Blonde Bar, Winchester. Lemons and lime aromas. Tangy body but not exciting, just easily drinkable and refreshing.

3.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: APR 2, 2005 Lots of interesting tastes in this one. A picked up strong white wine and grapefruit, but other flavors such as apple, tangerine, and lemon are there. Very citrusy and acidic. Has a somewhat unpleasant sparkling quality, a bit too light and carbonated.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Keg @ Britannia, Chatham. Very pleasant orange aroma, cloudy appearance, washed glass from the dramatic keg tap - all adds to the appeal; and this is a pleasant enough drink - clean, cold and refreshing. The gentle savlon spice, with just a few hints of soap, and gentle but crisp carbonation, all make this quite drinkable - but it does lack character, depth, edge, life... well, it just lacks genuine interest. But it’s great for a refreshing drink, and we did go back for seconds of this rather than the stodgy Deuchars IPA.
