2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottled sample. Orange peel/lime aroma. Pours with a cloudy yellow hue and frothy white head. Sour lemon/lime and orange peel flavour. Some spicey hints and a dry-ish finish.

low-foaming and non-persistent manner. Dress is pale blond opaque. On the nose, it releases the smell of moderate to low lemon with a hint of coriander. So far so good. In the mouth, it is slightly acidic. It remains consistent with the smell of lemon. In the end, we discover aromas of medium intensity initially dominated by lemon. But everything seems a bit chemical.

Draft. My first beer in Paris 2014. Spiced white ale that poured a cloudy neon yellow color. Clean dry finish, spicy aroma with loads of lemon zest. This really hit the spot on a hot afternoon after a lot of walking.

@ Havregatan. Bottle (330 ml) from Systembolaget (15:-). Fruity and citrusy, orange, lemon, pineapple, quite sweet with light spicy notes, almost no bitterness at all. The finish is light dry, sweet and fruity. Quite fresh and nice, but not really a witbier, more of a lemonade to be honest.

It’s not the greatest white beer you’ll ever drink but as these things go its pretty decent. Basically it is to a good white beer what something like normal Kronenbourg is to a really nice lager. Perfectly drinkable.

Blue bottle from backlog notes 07. Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have pale wheat malts, lemony citrus, mild spice, watery, thin, not very interesting.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma of coriander, orange and a touch of sulphur. Hazy, pale gold colour and a foamy white cap. The flavour is unripe oranges and coriander. The body is quite light and there isn’t much of an after taste with this one. A beer to serve to guests who want to try something new, but don’t want to be challenged in any way.

Oh boy. Already losing points before I open the (blue) bottle. Label says "flavored" white beer and "caramel coloring added"...don’t add crap to your beer to color it. Let it freaking be OR, crazy thought, color it with malts. Cloudy nearly opaque dark straw hue under a bubbly/rocky white head. Smells sulphuric and leafy with wheat toast and an admittedly pleasant orange rind bite. Flavor has a bit of tangerine fruitiness and a little orange zest flavor with some light passion fruit tones with a yeasty wheaty body. Light and crisp and admittedly refreshing. Not in of itself bad, but the marketing and the sulphuric aroma cost big points.
