detroitsteel (209), Greater London, England May 6, 2008 Pint in a pub. That cost me £4.50. A scandel. This isn’t some rare, artisan beer from the far corner of northern France; its bulk brewed session beer, but hey, any excuse to rip off the British drinker. Now I will climb off my soap box and rate it. Looks like banana milkshake, tastes like a Witbier someone has tipped a teaspoon of peach essence into. Some wheat in there, but killed by citrus fruit. Its kind of ok hot day drinking beer, but not at the price, sorry.
Nige_critic (2), , South Yorkshire, England does not count Jul 4, 2008 A wonderful wheat beer that ranks right up there along side some of the great German and other continental wheat beers such as Hacker Pscorr Weiss beer, Erdinger and the classic Belgian Wheat beer Hoegarden. It has a wonderful texture and crisp fruity citrus flavours as it hits the palate. A truley wonderful beer! tarjei (1051), Bryne, Norway Jul 2, 2008 0,5 l bottle in York. Hazy yellow color, nice white head. Aroma is citric, wheat, yeast. Flavor is wheat, citrus, yeast. Ok witbier. azlondon (461), Greater London, England Jul 1, 2008 Appearance: Pale yellow, hazy. Little bit of white head.
Aroma: Very fruity, lemony. Some wheat.
Taste: Pretty fruity, and sweet. Bit of wheat. Peaches?
Info: 500ml bottle, 19/9-2007 norsedoc (154), USA Jun 4, 2008 On tap in Paris. Cloudy pale yellow beer. Great citrus aroma. Kind of dusty on the palate with more citrus, crisp.
An odd, but pleasant wit. Good summer beer.
My wife took one sip and proclaimed "lemon poppyseed bread". I could imagine the poppyseeds floating in the beer. dornoy (606), Lyngby, Denmark May 31, 2008 Hardly a head on this near-white body. There is an obvious citrus tast, which make it even frescher. I’d say this is a perfect sommer beer. Usually I a not enthusiastic about Kronenbourg, but I’ll make an exception in this case.
