TheBeerOrg (2145) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JUL 30, 2005
UPDATED: FEB 1, 2006 Pours light golden with a dense white head that is mostly receding. Aroma of grassy herbal hops with some corn and DMS. Taste is a bit grassy and bitter with some adjunct maltiness. Mouthfeel is thin with lively, spritzy carbonation. This beer is very bad when skunked. Try to find fresh samples if possible.

Definite grassy hops in the nose. Some hay and cereal malts also. Sparkling golden appearance as expected. The flavor is bitter and a little on the earthy side which is a nice change. Malts are sweet and bread like. Pretty good example of the lager style. If you like lagers you will like this beer, otherwise you will not. Overall pretty typical but not bad. This is a good beer to have with a meal.

Wow, this proves that the French CAN be dull!! Golden yellow, poor head, no lace, no aroma to speak of, and a palate that leaves you searching for... something, anything to talk about. No kidding, I really feel that this has even less character than mass-produced below-average stuff than Canadaís Labattís and Australiaís Emu Bitter. Not bad, just featureless.

UPDATED: AUG 2, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) French version at 5,9% ABV. A truly French classic, remember having this back in the 80ís while visiting my French girlfriend. Oh, sweet memories...
Premium strong lager. Beautiful fully golden colour with a decent head. Well balanced between malts and hops. Good quality lager. 170403

(Bottle 25 cl) Belgian version brewed by Alken-Maas. Pale golden, limited head and unfortunately also limited flavours. Sweet malt and a faint idea of hops. Not bad just very feeble. Typical bland "Premium" lager. 4/2//3/2/8=1,9 020799

Had it in a slightly warm can at a firemans ball on bastille day. i didnt have a glass but i can imagine what it looks like. Aroma is slightly hoppy and weak. Flavor is prety much the same, a slightly hoppier, but less smooth version of Bud. Nothing complements a frenchman covering Elvis songs better.

Tap. Very thin, rather tasteless, and quite a discardable aftertaste. Just an average lager thats a tad better then all the domestic mass produced crap such as Budweiser.

Oh boy, an international lager. Tasted this in some internet cafe on Rue Ste-Catherine for a rediculous price, but hey, itís 7:30 in the morning, Iíve been up for about 22 hours and Iíve walked all over Montreal, itís time for a beer and a sit down damnit! Very light straw color, light white head, some lacing. Nose of light stale fruit, some husky notes along with a weird burnt note. The flavor is thin with more alcohol bite than it should. Finishes watery, medium bodied, not completely revolting, but to think, I bought this instead of a Blance de Chambly. Ouch.

500ml can, pale golden yellow hue, good foamy white head, with lacing, fresh floral hay, pale malt and herbal aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with crisp floral hop, hint of bubblegum, sweetish pale malt accent, fruity in a shy hop clean finish.

Golden colour, thick white head. Sweet and smooth. An easy drinker. Above average lager.
