UPDATED: DEC 29, 2010 Tap @ Lamb and Flag, Oxford, England. This beer was disappointing. Golden yellow color, clear, with high carbonation. White head, that stayed longer than many pale lagers. Mouthfeel was very harsh and very bitter. Not a good combination. Very little flavor at all, and much of what I tasted was hops, but it wasn’t smooth or even enjoyable. I see this in stores and on tap in the U.S., and I may try it once more, but very disappointing nonetheless.

Bottle. White quickly disappearing head. Yellow clear body. Malt aroma. Disappointing malt flavor.

500ml can. Pours a light golden colour with a medium white head which quickly disipates to a ring with very little lacing. There is very little aroma, whats there is sweet. The taste is of some malt and hops but very little of either. This beer has posibilities but it is too watered down. I thing it would be a nice beer if served cold on a warm day but what beer wouldn’t.

Not a bad beer, really. There’s just not that much to it. Both aroma and flavor are faint, a sweet bready malt with some grassy hops - - but both are barely there. Watery finish. The end.

Just a hint of skunkiness. Some bready aromas, and grassiness, hops as an afterthought. Just not very good at all.

Can pours golden with a small disappearing head. There are hops in there, I can smell them, but the flavour is mainly sweet. This beer lacks balance and has the wrong mouthfeel for the style.

But d’une canette, pas fameux, j’imaginerais que ce serait pire en bouteille (verte). Très faible, peu de goût. C’est dans la même catégorie qu’Heineken, une importée ordinaire dans une bouteille à la mode. Attrape nigo!

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2010 First rating thursday, february 02, 2006: 4/2/5/2/8: overall 2.1. A golden coloured beer with a fast diminishing head. An hoppy aroma (but not good). The taste is a bit malty and sweet. (Bottle 25cl Belgian version brewed by Alken-Maes). Rererate: This time a bottle brewed in France. Golden coloure, fast diminishing but not total disappearing. Aroma is like the regular kronenbourg but much lighter. Flavour also lighter and a bit fresher. Moderately malt and sweet, light body. (Bottle 75cl)

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2007 Pale, skunky, and boring. Slightly better than the mass produced American lagers. I was in an old bar on Central in AZ called The George and Dragon. This elderly Scottsman sitting next to me suggested I try the Kronenbourg in a bomber, he called it the kronic. I asked the old chap why the name sake. He went on to tell me they call it Kronic because if you drink too much of it, you’ll feel kronic the next morning. No shit ? BUAGH!!
