Yee-haw -- a chance to savage the French! A little skunky, though not bad. Lager-tart and a little fruity. Very carbonated, but a fair mouthfeel, tough there were some musky notes in the finish. Interesting bottle. Not bad, but not distinct enough to buy it again.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: JUL 19, 2013 Rerate Revisit after 10 years. Crisp and clean, about par for a Euro lager, tad bit of minty skunk, but not a drainpour.Original 2.4 The aroma is a bit skunky and wet newspaper like - probably due to the green bottle (which has an unusual and interesting shape). Appearance - almost see through light golden with little to no head. Flavor has a bit of a hoppy bite to it with some underlying sweetness. Kind of an odd mouthfeel to it - slightly stinging. Not a bad lager overall - but the French should stick to wine.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pretty stinky at first whiff (green bottle) but the mercaptans wafted away leaving a light malt and noble hop aroma. Gold but empty looking with thin yet firm head. Surprising body and round sweetness! Underhopped, esp in the finish, leaving a lingering sweetness, while too slight to be cloying, is too much nevertheless.

Very smooth - carbonation comparable to sparkling wine rather than other beers. Good balance of hops and sweetness. Good with food.

Had this in London. Thought it was a pretty good lager that was light with a bubbly effect.Lemon flavor but a little skunky smell. Overall a decent beer.

It is OK for French beer. It goes down well with some stinky cheese and fatty salami on a hot summer day in Antibes.

This beer reminds me of a lot of the Canadian crap that comes across the border. It is very similar to Molson, Moosehead, etc...

When my friend brought this over from my local specialty carry out, I at first cringed. France has never been seen as a beer country. This beer was a typical light tan lager color, a slight aroma of hops. A slight sweet taste.

Pours with a pale golden body topped by a medium thick white quickly disappearing head that leaves a good amount of lace behind. sour skunky aroma with a grassy hop background and a touch of malt.
