2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 onomatopee (34) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 25, 2008
1.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Rune (4667) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAR 25, 2008
Two 300ml bottles at Cafe Rouge in Oxford. Clear golden body with one-finger, white head. Aroma of hard water and light hops. Sweet corn-like flavour with noticeable hops. Thin-medium texture. Standard, food-friendly lager (16.03.2008).
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 kidmartinek (1757) - austin, Texas, USA - MAR 22, 2008
The skunk aroma hits youe 3 feet away from the pour out of the bottle. Must be a good pils, right? I mean, it looks like it comes from a brown bottle, but upon closer inspection, that bottle is green. That means premium, right. Oooh, this beer is must going to be good. Pours totally clear golden piss yeloow, no bubbling, no carbonation, and no french balls. 1 inch empty bubble (that’s my terms for a head with no balls), foam head. Smells like corn. Taste like, water, corn leftovers, and corn malt. Wh? Why bother brewing a beverage like this. Must sell large infrance due to a "We wish we were bigger that Texas" marketing campaign. God, I am relentless against these imitation, American, crap, PALE, lagers, (lager for crap).

Draft at Fiddlestick’s in the Village NYC. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting a lot from this lager. And, not suprisingly, it didn’t have much to offer. It is a light golden lager, with a foamy head, weak nose, and a flavor to match. This brew is filled with a good bit of corn sweetness and a bit of a grassy fake hop note. Hmm, I wonder why. Hop Extract?? Are they first time home brewers? When in France, stick with the wine.

Kronenbourg 1664 is the Miller Lite of French beers. The color is a clear yellow with a white head. The aroma is watery with a little bit of a bitter undertone. The drink is watery with notes of metal and corn while being easy to drink.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 weaselkenievil (1089) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAR 12, 2008
I do think this is one of the better poor metallic thoroughly average lagers you can buy in almost any crap pub in England. That isn’t saying much though. Drinkable I suppose, don’t want to really slate it but in a decent pub I’d never buy this.
2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20 Gwenaith (3) - Hampshire, ENGLAND - MAR 12, 2008 does not count
Clear straw colour, rather fizzy with tiny bubbles, no head but faintly attractive. Lively aroma once you get in close enough. Hits the back of your throat with the fizzy harshness of coke. Fresh taste at first but the afterwards it is metallic, probably from being served ice cold.
European lagers - standard student fare, this is better then most though.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 TheOrange (467) - Kent, Ohio, USA - MAR 11, 2008
Nice Yellow pour with a big frothy white head. The aroma is Mild hops and malts. Flavor is true to the aroma. The malts are sweeter then expected. There is small hint of citrus through out. Body is on the thinner side. The finish is clean. Nothing too special, but a pretty solid beer.
