Pours a one-finger white head that fades quickly to a ring leaving traces of lace. Crystal clear amber color. Slight malty nose. Light carbonation and light-medium bodied. Flavor is balanced with some sweetness, nearly clean finish. Part of meal at La Nouvelle Eve Paris, France. 750ml green bottle - best by Aug 2007. Label has ABV at 5.5%.

Tastes very much like the original Kronenbourg, more dry maybe.

UPDATED: APR 24, 2005 Pours a light yellow color. Has a musty, skunky aroma. Seems highly carbonated. Flavor is watery and a little skunky. Very boring brew.

UPDATED: APR 12, 2011 Draft/bottle. Standard mass-produced lager in all aspects: appearance, aroma, and flavor. Just like Amstel, Heineken...

terrible... pours a light color smells kinda crappy and doesn’t taste very good...Glad it was free and at a tasting.

light and slightly dry, not a whole lot of flavor going on. but still enjoyable, it comes across a tad grainy actually. another standard pale lager.

Light gold in colour. Aroma of very light hops, with some grass. Very light body, small amount hops as well. The finish was very fast as well. Still a somewhat refreshing beer.

I was unfamiliar with Kronenbourg, so I figured this would be a German beer. When the waiter at the Alibi Room brought it to the table, he said think of it as the French Budweiser. So, I took my first taste with my expectations recalibrated to the low end of the scale, and surprisingly it’s not all that bad. All the traditional pale lager things are going on here, but there is also an initial hint of creamy sweetness.
