Not much to talk about here. Poured a thick frothy head that lasted a bloody year before going away. Too bad I was disappointed after the wait. TO me this was a combination of a malt liquor, and a watery beer, which is better than a malt liquor, but not by much.

On tap somewhere in France. Fairly offensive pissy lager. Basically the Miller of France.

Translucent yellow / gold in color with a creamy white head that’s now backed off and left some nice lacing in its wake. Aroma is standing laundry water, cotton, Fabreeze and hair detangler. Sweet, sour and easy going on the palate. Somewhat of a flavorful pale lager. Strong sourdough impressions met with a signature lemony-citric edge. Doesn’t progress to the lager twang (characteristic of the style), but it doesn’t impress much either.

probstk (1911) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 18, 2009
330 ml bottle from LCBO, served cold in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear golden with a nice white foam. Aroma: Light, vague, boring malts, a touch of strange sweetness, something almost like wheat flour... Palate: Medium body, fairly full carbonation. Flav.: A little better than the nose, light biscuit malt, some grain/cereal, a touch of cardboard, no hops anywhere, still a little vague sweetness, but the beer is dry with basically no bitterness.

Stick to the wine making, France.

Bottle sampled at the Newtown Brewfest with the Mad Indian and Beerded_one. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is skunked, grassy hops and grain. The flavor is skunked also, with a slight grassy hop bitter finish. Worse beer of the event.
