1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 3fourths (6218) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 6, 2005
pale orange color. smells like skunky ashtray and moldy skunked old food. crisp flavor but really nasty too, skunked bottle oxidized flavor along with a pale grainy flavor that dulls the palate.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BMan1113VR (6146) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAR 11, 2008
Had on a plane on a flight to Europe. Fruity esters, slightly grassy hops, some hay and some sweetness. Pours with a creamy, white head that reverts to a film atop the yellow hued body. Suprisingly nice lacing. Taste is american macro style: not much aftertaste. A little fruit but mainly water. Some hay malts. Fizzy carbonation, but creamy. I have always liked 1664, brings back good memories.

Golden color, light weak hoppy aroma and taste, light watery body, watery finish.
2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Sammy (5888) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 16, 2004
yellow malt and fizzy carbonation, replacement for ginger ale. Hey, carbs but less calories and more food value. Comparable to Moosehead.
0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20 DocLock (5776) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 3, 2005
Gold color with aroma of some malt, hops, big thiols, some funky esters. Tastes and finishes with a mixed bag of craptacular elements. Utterly forgettable, either in 1664 or the present.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Ughsmash (5631) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 18, 2010
Bottled. Poured crystal-clear bright golden with a sticky white head. The aroma picked up mild skunk and toasty pale malts with airy, aspartame-like highlights. The flavor found pale malts and a bit of corn at the core.. dry bitterness surrounded along with a touch of malty sourness.. more of the artificial sweetener on the finish. Light-bodied and crisp on the palate (for the most part), but it got caught up with tackiness a couple times.. carbonation was high and tangy.. OK stuff.

on tap and bottled. Pale yellow colour, medium-sized head. Hoppy and malty, well-drinkable but quite boring. lacks its own character.
