2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 JPDIPSO (4957) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 19, 2002
Dark straw color with a white unimpessive head. Seems gassy with slight cardboard and grass aromas. Fairly thin and odd malt flavors. Acidic after taste.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 BBB63 (4939) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - JUL 25, 2004
Bottle: Straw hue with little head or lace. The aroma has notes of grassy and herbal hops, pale malts, and vegetables. The taste is straight forward bitter hops and some mild malt background. Short fading finish with a minor lingering acidic taste. The feel is crisp and clean, watery. A very common lager, just a step up from BMC but not worth the additional monies.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 shrubber85 (4843) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - OCT 9, 2009
UPDATED: JAN 6, 2012 Can with a WIDGET. Sweet cherry malt aroma. Dark golden color with giant head and lots of bubbles - does look very nice. Slightly sweet cherry malt and light hops finish. Regular bottle more bland - standard lager.
1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 gnoff (4830) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAR 8, 2007
(33 cl bottle from Systembolaget) Clear golden color, medium size white head. Acidic malty scent. Malty and very dry taste. Extremely dry chalk like mouthfeel, not nice. Low bitterness.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 beerguy101 (4825) - Newark, California, USA - APR 8, 2009
Sampled on 4/9/2009. This Pale Lager pours a light gold color from a 33cl bottle. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is green bottle skunk, cereal and grain. A light to medium bodied Pale Lager. The malts are grain and cereal. The hops are spicy and slightly floral. Nice carbonation. This would probably be a better than average Pale Lager if it wasn’t for green bottle skunk. The skunk in this bottle is pretty damn bad, but either my taste buds are getting used to it or it is diminishing as the beer warms. Nice carbonation. Decent balance. Mouthfeel is a little thin. Finish is crisp and clean. The aftertaste is slightly bitter.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Drake (4803) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - DEC 12, 2010
11.2 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market, Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear golden color with a thin fizzy head. Fair head retention and lacing. A bit of skunk in the aroma along with sweet grainy notes. The taste is grainy with bitter hop notes. Medium bodied. Fairly boring.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DruncanVeasey (4800) - NUNEATON, Conference North, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - AUG 7, 2006
UPDATED: AUG 8, 2006 Lukewarm, unpleasantly bitter metallic suds atop a plastic beaker half-filled with ice. OK, so probably not the ideal conditions for sampling a ’premium lager’. The refreshing, sweet maltiness of this beer is best expressed chilled, and at less than 36,000ft.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 heemer77 (4754) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - FEB 7, 2005
UPDATED: SEP 20, 2006 Nice deep gold with a thin white head. Aroma is the expected cooked carrots and green beans. Maybe some grass. The taste is very refreshing with carrots and some pepper spice. Not much else happening here.
