I like this beer. I agree, it is not abundant with flavor, but it is different. The first time I drank it was my first time in London, so it reminds me of change (wihch is to say different from the regular light beers of college life).

This is actually pretty drinkable - Has nice fluffy white head and fizzy gold colour, leaves good lacing. Aroma a little metallic, malt, flowery hops. Goes down smooth, a little sweet, a little bitterness in the finish. As continental mass-market lagers go this one is pretty good really.

Had on a plane on a flight to Europe. Fruity esters, slightly grassy hops, some hay and some sweetness. Pours with a creamy, white head that reverts to a film atop the yellow hued body. Suprisingly nice lacing. Taste is american macro style: not much aftertaste. A little fruit but mainly water. Some hay malts. Fizzy carbonation, but creamy. I have always liked 1664, brings back good memories.

UPDATED: JUN 25, 2011 Love this, it gets a ripping by many , but its got a strong bitter taste matched by few lagers. Clean, crisp, perhaps a little skunky but I love it, I cant get it in Asia anywhere.

Bottle 330ml. Crystal clear pale gold, thin creamy head. Aroma has grass, hops, citrus in it. Flavor is full of crisp touch (hops, pepper) and it’s supported by strong/medium carbonation. Refreshing pale lager.

An okay lager but no more than okay. A light gold colour and smallish head, slightly fizzy. Aroma was decent as was the taste, being smooth and clean. A most cool bottle, like a Franco-Michelob (in green).

33cl bottle. Pours pale yellow with a big white head. Smells a little fruity. Tastes fruity, abit peaches, slight bitter with a similar finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
