UPDATED: APR 2, 2008 Golden, clear, hints of corn and some malt. A straightforward lager, like a deluxe French version of most American macro lagers.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Bart (2332) - Brussels, BELGIUM - DEC 11, 2005
Golden colour, rather small, diminishing white head. Fresch malty aroma, smouth taste, rather bitter finish. Nothing special, just another international lager

12oz bottle, delicately aged by jasonp. Thanks, Jason! Pours a clear, pale yellow color; white head that quickly fades. Slightly skunky at first, corn and sugar in the aroma; not very offensive, just bland. Light-to-medium sugar and mild citrus mouthfeel: bland but drinkable; quick, sugar and citrus finish. Not much here.

I’ve had it "there" and I’ve had it "here". It tastes better "there. Okay, what do I mean? Well, sit at a table in a small French village, under a grape arbor, on a nice warm day with the breeze blowing the "traditional" French aroma, having had a tartine jambon, and some fresh French olives and you will know this is a "good beer".

I’m nt a fan of this style, but for a palelager this isn’t bad. The apearance is straw gold, with an orange tinge. The aroma is earthy, malty. The flavor is less sweet and slightly more hoppy for this style. The palate has a refreshing bitterness. OK for what it is.
