it’s not expensive and it’s easily obtainable. Agreed, it’s nothing fantastic or groundbreaking, but it’s still enjoyably crisp. i perfer this to stella

Enjoyed in the Swiss Alps from the bottle. Pours a beautiful pale gold with a head that seems to last. Nice hoppy flavor offset by a dull malt that hints at sweetness. Loved it.

This is actually a pretty good beer, far better than most American macros. I’ve had a tap in Strasbourg and Paris. I’m not sure why its getting a bad rap here. Once again its hard to really take what people on ratebeer.com say because all palates are different, but I’d say most raters here are really novice beer drinkers trying to pose as experts because this is not a bad beer. Try the 1664 White too...

Interesting bottle. Pours clear pale yellow. Head quickly goes. Smells citrus, sweet. Taste is crisp, bitter. Ends off pleasant, leaves a hop taste. I enjoyed this beer. Wouldn’t turn one down but probably will never buy it again.

The beer starts off like you would expect from a French lager. Pale gold color, fluffy white head, just a hint of skunk familiar with green-bottled European lagers that you get here. The taste, however, is a bit surprising. There’s still that light sweet grain, but there’s some honey and a little bit of spice, too. Just a touch of clove, maybe. The mouth feel is fuller than similar beers. Really good lacing, too. Worth a try if you want something light, refreshing, and with at least a modicum more character than anything with "light" in the name.
