5.0% gold colour with a thin head, not the worst you can get, good cold on a hot day in France.

Buvable.

Easy going and easy to drink beer. Not an exceptional tasting beer but good to have in the fridge. A little of young/fresh hops are tasted, but the taste disappears fast from the mouth. To my personal taste it is not as sour as the Kronenbourg Alsace. For me its one of the better pilsner alternatives in the french supermarkets. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear golden yellow from the can with fluffy white head that dissipates to leave moderate lace. Aroma and taste of light pilsner malts and clean crisp lager yeast. It is what it is, which is just a massed produced light lager.

UPDATED: JUN 7, 2016 Bottle, grassy hops on the nose, not much flavour or body but a decent leafy hoppy bitterness.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

Half pint at the Clarendon Arms, Cambridge. The only beer in the pub I’ve yet to tick. To be fair, she is a comely lass: dark yellow, small white head, tempting carbonation - not too much, not too little. And the smell isn’t terrible, there’s just not a lot of it. Taste is a bit blasé but again not terrible, sugary and slightly lemony. Nicely carbonated finish but the alcohol is fairly exposed, even for an ABV this low. Substandard but it’ll do.
