25cl bottle. Pours pale clear yellow with a white foam. Grassy & grainy malt flavor. A bit of sweetness. Thin body with a medium carbonation. Very decent pale lager. Used to drink this right from the bottle when I was younger!

I figured that a Kronenbourg was the same, no matter what the label. This version is distinctive with its metal smell & taste, despite being in a glass bottle!

My first though upon opening this can was, "well, that’s an unfortunately strong aroma." Powerful metallic smell along with half-blackened banana peels, bubblegum (still in the wrapper) , stale baguette and granulated white sugar. Medium golden hue, perfectly clear with no head to speak of, just a transparent, white foam on top of the beer. The flavour isn’t nearly as monstrously terrible as the aroma, thankfully. Grainy, with some bananas up front, and it fades into a slightly peppery finish. Eh, there’s a little bit of banana peel-like astringency in the finish, though...and some aspirin aroma/flavour as it warms. Light to medium bodied with a texture that clings just a little too long in the mouth. Moderate, harsh carbonation. Riddled with flaws, no truly redeeming qualities expect for it’s lack of retch-inducing aromas and flavours. 50cl can, Duvel tulip, bbe 06/2008, listed @ 4.2% abv.

Can. Aroma is cheap hops and tin can. Quite possibly worse than the 1664. Flavor is dishwater and old pennies.

Not much here. Light with no real head. Very smooth (as water is) Looks better than it tastes.

Light amber coloured beer with some small white head and little carbonation. Somewhat sweet herby malty aroma. Medium palate. Finish is light bitter, herby. Not bad.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2007 Can, Paris. Became very obvious to me that France is a wine country rather than a beer country. Take big gulps at first, as once it loses its carbonation, a real beast of flavour hits you. Awful beer.

Draught. Clear light orange / yellow color with a average good lacing white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet (sugar sweet) and light bitter, with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft.

Euro hops scent. A bit grainy. Nice semi sweet refreshing taste but with a dry finish. A bit of maty nuts. Slightly sweet aftertaste.

This is a nice beer. I went searching for Lowenbrau one evening and the clerk suggested this as an alternative. It is a nice golden colour with a light malty aroma. A very smooth beer with a very smooth taste that goes down easy, but has just enough bite to make you appreciate this beer. I did go back to the store the next day and tip the clerk for his suggestion.
