(Bottle 33 cl) Pretty, fully golden with a fairly decent head - and thats about it. Soft, very soft actually, with a very weak bitterness. But otherwise a classical, streamlined, commercial lager. Very uninteresting indeed. 040303

Paris - Light hoppy nose with a nice taste. I was surprised with the bite in this one. Pours gold and goes down smooth. Not bad for a "cheap" beer.

Pours a golden colour with a white head. Emmits a skunky sweet aroma (yum). The flavour is a repeat of the nose with fizzy carbonation. Not exactly a tantalizing drink. Thanks to my friend Brian for picking me up this and a few others while in Amsterdam.

On tap somewhere in France. This beer is the Budweiser of France. It’s everywhere. Stay away.

Didn’t realize that this was a different beer from 1664 until I tried to order it in a brasserie, and ordered the wrong thing. Who knew 1664 could be considered upscale? This one was sweeter and much more delicious. Great for rounds. Had this, amongst other places, at 3 Ducks Hostel, 15e, Paris.

Used to be a clean, balanced International Style Pale Lager. I’d say it now tastes like cheap beer. BMC can beat this one! God Bless America, and England, Aussies, people we don’t know...!

Euro lager with the attendant characteristics of one. Better than the 1664 but still a little eurofied for the masses. Good balance and presentation, typical slight floral hop aroma but not really enjoyed in the winter months.

This is a beer that goes along fine with BBQ on a hot summerday. Has a pale, golden color with a short lasting head.
