Bottle (Merci, Quack-Duck!): Golden, clear, small white rim, lazy carbonation; light grainy-strawy nose; a bit watery, light sweetish-bitter flavour; traces of bitterness in the watery-grainy finish. Yawn........

Draught. A yellow gold coloured lager with a little whitish head and some lace. The aroma is watery and grassy/glassy. The taste is watery and thin. There is a little malt base but nothing of any significance. Dull and common as muck.

(bottle, 25cl, 4.2% abv) Clear, golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Discreet aroma of moderately sweet pale malt with a shy grainy and subtle fruity touch and traces of herbal hops. Moderately sweet flavour with a whiff of bitterness, light bodied with a lively carbonation. Slim malty and slightly grainy taste, quite empty mouthfeel; moderately dry and slightly sweet grainy finish with traces of herbal hops. 07.I.10

Ah, the real "Kronny" and not 1664. Golden in colour. Aromas are metal, soap and some lemon. Flavours are grain and some more soapiness. Tastes off. Not dryness or bitterness on the finish. Its wet with alcohol - thats all.

Quack-Duck (7517) - Down South, GERMANY - OCT 28, 2009
tiny 0.25l bottle from Auchan Illkirch-Graffenstaden. Clear yellow colour with a mid-sized white head. Shy fruity-hoppy nose. Light-bodied with a pleasant malty background and a combination of very nice aromatic hops (Alsatian Strisselspalt?) and some dusty-woody hops with a cheapish touch. Light and refreshing witha rather strange fruity-hoppy-metallic finish. Not too bad, quite acceptable.

The epitome of a bland, blond lager. Quite inoffensive, but entirely lacking in any distinctive features. Better than water for quenching a thirst on a summer day, but not much else to say really. Bottled, France, December 2003.

Dogbrick (7243) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 13, 2004
Dark gold color with a medium thick and slowly diminishing white head. Small bubbles rising and thin lacing. Lightly skunked hops aroma. Light and smooth body with a faint hops flavor. The skunkyness found in the aroma is not a factor in the flavor eiter. The finish is somewhat creamy which was a bit of a surprise. Still this is not a good beer.

A tolerable pale lager better than most you’ll find from these parts. O.K.

Can. Slightly sour barley malt aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Slightly sweet barley malt flavor. A standard pale lager - nothing unpleasant.

Benzai (6388) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - MAR 7, 2014
Bottle @ Snowbording holiday in France. Clear yellow color, small to medium sized white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly bitter. Not much else to it. Average drinkable beer.
