3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: DEC 5, 2006 LCRBM. Slightly citric aroma. Malty, slightly hoppy flavor. Hints of citrus in the aftertaste. Pleasant and inoffensive. 6 3 6 4 10 = 2.9.
Re-rated in the relative quietness at home, without the company of a lot of raters and a lot of other beers the beer deserves a higher rating. Bottle, bought at the Trinkgut in Nordhorn. Blonde, cloudy, frothy head. Grassy, citric aroma. Firm hopbitter flavor. Grassy, citric, even a bit earthy flavor. Sharpish, long oily bitter aftertaste. Good!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a hazy golden to straw color with a nice initial head, weak retention, mediocre lacing. The cloudy yeast didn’t move the entire drink, even when the glass was tilted, pretty cool. The aroma was lightly fruity (esters), noticeable for a lager. Hard to pick much else up. The flavor was light ester fruits over top of almost a pils malt type flavor with some light grass hops. Slight plastic aftertaste. Mouthfeel was moderate, carbonation average. Crisp finish. Thanks to DerDoppelbock for yet another one!

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottled as Eifeler Landbier unfiltriert (thanks DerDoppelbock). Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is malty, hoppy and some barley. Flavour is salty, malty and a small hoppy kick in the finish. A bit grainy and grassy, but it fits in well.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottled as "Eifeler Landbier unfiltriert" (BB 11/2006).
Hazy pale yellow, small head. Woody, dry aroma, maybe slightly yeasty too. Light, a bit lemony fruity with light hops. Unfiltering does its job but otherwise quite uninspiring.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. A murky hazy orange coloured beer with no head. The aroma is a little buttery and a little fruity, maybe satsumas? The taste is quite bitter with some hoppiness but a worrying eggy feel. Not bad but not as crisp clean and hoppy as I would hope for.
