Lahev (REAL, Bamberg) - Světlé, lehce zakalené pivo, hustá pěna, chuť po tabáku, vajíčkách a čokoládě, mně tohle pivo právě moc nesedlo, mělo zvláštní doznívání, které nezanechalo zrovna dobrou chuť v ústech.

Clear light amber pour. Heavy white lace. Light hop flavor, very clean taste.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkel goldgelbes, recht stark getrübtes Bier mit sehr hoher, feiner, standhafter Krone. Der Geruch offenbart sich leicht hefig-fruchtig, insgesamt recht neutral. Der Antrunk erfolgt überaus rezent und schaumig, zudem fruchtig vergoren, angenehm hefig und süßlich. Der Abgang ist hefig süßlich, wieder sehr vergoren. Der weitere Verlauf bleibt dominant fruchtig-vergoren und süßlich, und vor allem über-rezent und schaumig. Lediglich zum Finish kommt noch mal ein Hopfenschub.

Bottle to drink by 30 December 2011. Strange hop-grainy nose. Hazy, particulate pale orange with a fizzy-creamy white head. Taste is very dry, bone-dry and cleansing, and with the missing sweetness, the bitterness seems much stronger. Big yeast component, some caramel and somewhat moderated sparkling citrus. A grittiness here that I don’t like, but gruff wildness can be OK here and there.

(.5L bottle best by 4/11 thanks to blutt59) clear pale yellow with a lasting creamy white head. Nose of grain, husks, corn and butter. Taste of gold raisins, earth, bitter, old and stale. Buttery body and linger.

Im Geruch etwas hopfig und dumpf, vielleicht auch brotig, ist man zunächst in Erwartung eines eher mittelmäßigen Bieres. Geschmacklich jedoch schon im Antrunk ein deutlicher Aufwärtstrend durch sauberen Hopfen. Im Mittelteil fallen fruchtige Töne auf, die sich bis in Abgang hineinziehen. Hier dann zusätzlich noch eine gute Herbe. Ein angenehmes Bier. Test vom 27.6.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Thanks to blutt59 for sharing this bottle. We can always count on Bob to bring the hard-to-get German beers. The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma is heavy on the lighter, pilsner malt with some grassy hops mixed in. The beer smells fairly sweet overall. The flavor is very heavy on the malt with a little bit of grass mixed in. Fairly straight forward but enjoyable. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Bottle @ Bamberg. Pours cloudy golden with a creamy egg white head. Hoppy nose and flavor. Crisp and dry. A bit of vegetables, bread, grain and hay. Smooth and medium body/carbonation. Fine bitter end.

It’s hazy, almost unclear golden with a light grey hue. The aroma has notes of bread, flower and malt, and the same notes are found in the slightly sweet flavour, that has a citrussy finish. A nice one.
