Clear golden, huge dense head becoming airy after a minute. Nearly eternal retention. A very classical pilsner aroma of hay, grains & grass. Light to medium body. Thin to oily. Average carbo. The flavour starts with powerfull honey malts. After that a dry note of hay breaks through. Near ending a satisfying light to medium hoppy citric & piny bitterness stings staying through the finish & aftertaste. Perfect balance. A very well made Pilsner.

Fruchtiger Geruch mit zitronig-minzigen Nuancen. Frischer Antrunk. Es folgt ein hopfenaromatischer Schub mit etwas Herbe. Sanft feinherber Ausklang. Vollmundiges Pils. Sympathisch und gut. Test vom 2.4.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Ernest (7204) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 1, 2013
Draught at the Fränkisches Bierfest Nürnberg 2013. Head is mostly lasting. Body is light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (flowers, herbs), with a hint of soap. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. A light, easy-going, pleasant rendition. After having had poor experiences with their Dunkel (both from bottle and keg), I was ready to write this brewery off, but they’ve got some decent stuff. Thanks to my buds for pushing me to give ’em another shot.

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts malty, modest dry, mild fruity like lemon. Some sourish-metallically notes, but not too much. Well balanced finish, dry, fine malty. Okay!
