Harmony between taste and beauty - Dark beer is the traditional product of the Royal Brewery of Krušovice and for more than 100 years the production of this beer has not stopped. The beer has a full, sweet caramel taste and a light hop flavour. The high quality of the raw ingredients assures the excellent taste of the beer. There are several types of malt, natural spring water from the Křivoklát Wood and hops from the Žatec area.

Dark brownish ruby color. Nice tan head. Caramel and bread aromas, some yeast. The body is too thin and watery. There are some nice caramel and hop and yeast flavors in here, as well as a pleasantly dry finish, but there’s too little of everything. Frankly, I expected more from this. The body needs more oomph.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Bottle in Bratislava. Crisp and dry. Slightly treacly bitterness. Malty sweet undertone. Slight smoke note - more apparent in the finish. Very drinkable.

great beer from czech republic, hard to buy in poland but worth of searching. easy taste with porter character but still not porter.

Dark reddish brown colour with a small white head. Slightly roasted aroma with coffee notes. Weak flavour of roasted malts and chocolate. Medium bodied with decent carbonation and a slightly dry finish. Easy to drink.

UPDATED: JAN 11, 2011 A good Czech beer.brown colour.Big head.chocolate coffee smell and taste.Maybe these are not too strong but this beer is very refresing, it feels like cold Instant coffee.

Bottle pours translucent darkish brown red with huge tan head. Aroma is sweet caramel, hops, and roasted. Has an upfront bitter roasted flavor in a more smooth caramel coffee slick finish. A very nice Czech Schwarzbier.
