Can 0,5l. Deep brown color with a creamy head. Aroma malt, caramel. Taste is again caramel with sweet finish.

(500ml bottle) Pours a clear dark amber body with a medium beige head. Aroma of raisins, roasted malt, earth, and caramel. Flavor of roasted malt, caramel, baking cocoa, and earth with a moderately bitter finish.

(Old BA rate - tap) Poured with a finger of light tan, creamy looking head. Deep, dark brown that verges on black in color. Hints of shimmering ruby around the edges. Just OK head retention. Slightly sweet maltiness up front; touch of dark fruits; pretty muted overall. Mirrors the aroma with the hint of sweetness, but the dark fruit is actually closer to raisiny/pruney. Solid enough, but not that complex. Thinner MF, a little sticky, pretty tame carbonation. Pretty solid drinkability given the way below average abv. Fine session beer with just enough taste and flavor to keep things moderately interesting. Just an OK take on the style

UPDATED: MAY 6, 2010 Bottle from The Cave. Unpleasant sour aroma, dark brown colour. Grassy chocolate toffee flavour. Bitter sweet aftertaste. Not to my liking.

Bottle from Praha. Brown, smallbeige head. Aroma has malt, caramel, candy. Taste is smooth, soft, sweet, with caramel and some nutmeg. Nice to drink with a slightly, moderate finish.

Slightly amber brown, small head of fine bubbles and just a few spots of lace. Nose is mildly roasty w/ a touch of gassiness. Rather dry, light to medium bodied w/ vigorous carbonation. This is one of those beers some breweries might call a black Pilsener as it is quite hoppy and bitter--possibly a bit too much so. Not a bad beer.

Bottle thanks to Bu11zeye. Pours a light black with red hues and a beige head. Aroma of light dark roast, toast, faint caramel, faint dark fruit & light corn. Flavor is the same. Mouth feel is light body, watery, with high carbonation. Overall, it’s a drinkable session beer.
