Bottle at home. Black pour, thin tan head. Aroma is creamy, roasted and with chocolate and caramel. Flavor is a bit watery, some chocolate and a hint of bitterness. Very drinkable.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 womencantsail (3572) - Home of Rebecca Black, California, USA - AUG 28, 2011
A: The beer pours a dark brown color with some reddish notes and a finger of tan head.
S: There’s a definite vegetal note with some corn and sulfur. A mild roast that does let you know it’s a schwarzbier. Lightly acidic with some hints of dark chocolate and coffee.
T: Roast and coffee are the first things I pick up on the palate. A definite acidity to it as well as a mild sweetness. Some light cocoa notes. No real off-flavors, but not really any standout, good ones, either.
M: Light to medium bodied with a medium carbonation.
O: Better than the Imperial, but not a great schwarzbier either.
3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 CarlJonas (57) - Linköping, SWEDEN - AUG 25, 2011
Can at home. Pours a very dark red with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt with an unfortunate metallic side note. Gets better once you drink it. Kind of sweet, kind of bitter taste with lovely flavours of chocolate and dark roasted coffee. Thin body but this is a dark lager not a Porter so that’s quite all right. Unfortunately that metallic flavour returns towards the end. I’m guessing the can is to blame. But still, pleasant enough with plenty of flavour considering the low ABV (and low price) which makes this a beer I often return to.

@ Beer Mug in Ulan-Ude. Dry and malty with some charcoal in the aroma. Is black with thick head. Thin-ish, almost too dry. Drinkable enough but has hardly any flavor. Just dry coal.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Kristall-König (1552) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - AUG 2, 2011
Test vom 14.11.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Czech, dark, and good as such. However, there are better ones. (This beer rating was imported from FB and unfortunately lacks any further comments.)
