Very dark brown body with reddish glints. Lasting beige foamy head. Nice malty aroma with hints of hops, herbs, chocolate and roasted coffee. Well balanced hoppy and roasty flavors. Ends with a good bitter finish. One of my favorite Czech beers.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can. Yeast, vinegar aroma. Very dark brown color with moderate quick collapsing head. Tart malt flavor with slight chalky (ester) finish. Very little hops bitterness. Would be higher rated were it not for the very strong vinegar aroma - not very pleasant.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
In the bottle in Mannheim, Germany. Delightful mahogany brown clear pour (but I did not get to pour it myself). From the yeasty aroma, I suspect that this might not be completely filtered. Caramel and roasted flavors. A good dunkles.
