2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a dark brown body with a reddish glow and a nice and foamy off-white head. Aroma is thin stout-like with notes of roasted malt. Flavour is actually nice too, but the mouthfeel is a bit too mild and thin.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cereal and crackerjack caramel aroma. Dark brown, cereal/grainy, dry, very light astringency, lightly bittered, graham charactistics. Medium body. LIght cocoa in a medium finish. Pretty smooth, a bit indistinct, session.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I really like this beer! On the pour, beer is thick, syrupy, black. Head was dark, and thick, about an inch from the top. Smell is wonderful. Chocolate noise. Taste is refreshing. Hints of roasted coffee, maybe some toffee. Very thick on the palate, slippery almost. Fairly clean finish. I think if this beer had a little bit more complexity, maybe a higher abv, it would go a long way in the beer world, but for me, its a keeper.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice. It pours a deep mahogany body with a modest beige head. The aroma is a smokey molasses with lightly roasted malts. Nicely carbonated. It’s got the flavor of sweet roasted malt, chocolate covered caramel, and a peppery spiciness. Fairly clean finish. I’m surprised at the low ABV, but who cares when it tastes like this.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
From a 500 ml. euro brown bottle with a born by date on the back label, 28.06.2006.
Poured a red hued Coke Cola brown with a foamy pale tan/beige head that left ringed sticking.
Aromas of roasted caramel and chocolate, vanilla and a subtle grassiness.
Good carbonation and a lightly slick, softly crisp, smooth medium bodied mouthfeel.
Pleasant tasting, roasted malts, chocolate mainly with touches of sweet caramelized malts, a soft spicy, grassy bitterness and a dryish roasted malty finish.
Smooth, easy drinkability, a very quaffable Schwarzbier.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Dark brown color with fine head. This is a very watery schwarzbier with almost no taste. But okay its ABV is like a light beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
A Mes rate: Smokey roasted malt and barley nose with some slight barnyard too. Great appearance. Once of the darkest bodies I have seen. Slight egg in the flavour but with lots of roasty coffee and caramel plus slight notes of straw. Finish is treacle toffee then coffee and very clean. Only thing that really lets it down is the thin mouthfeel.
