Bottle. Beautiful clear golden body with rising carbonation, nice rocky, dense white head, Saaz nose with slight grainy notes. Mildly sweet, Saaz character, very drinkable and tasty.

Typical premium 12° beer. Deep golden color with medium head. Rounded taste with not too pronounced bitterness.

Bottle from the bargain bin. Pours a clear golden orange with an airy white head that dissipated rather quickly into none at all. Scent is grainy. Taste is light, grain and hay, slight sourness.

Cheapie from B+M. Had a feeling this might just be decent so pushed the boat out and bought 2. My faith has been rewarded with a fine tasting lager. Pours dark yellow with a deep mousse of foam. Lemony, hay and biscuit nose. Full-bodied with a soft mouthfeel, discreet carbonation, attractive grass and Madeira cake notes leading to a retronsasal baked bread finish punching firmly with bitterness. Hint of tin but nothing that’s undermining my hedonistic experience too heavily. Good lager with clean hop and malt.

Head: white, medium, frothy, avg. retention. Colour: golden, clear. Aroma: grainy and sweaty. Taste: sourish and light bitter. Frankly, I thought mine was spoiled, until I read other reviews on RB. Very disappointing, but will do on a hot summer day, unless you don’t smell it.

500ml bottle 79p from B&M. Gold with a white head. Cereal aroma, Bog standard lager flavours, slightly better than holiday euroswill

It does have a funny smell, but I cannot come up with an identifier, neither any smart arse choice. Nice creamy head - as if from a tap - and it looks like it would be there forever. Pleasant taste, kind of sweet malt, very much a karamel, with a metalic bite> It’s all very brief and fleeting. Not much of a finish or distinguishable palate. Still, for a pale lager, it is superior to the vast majority. I KNOW it is a Bohemian Pilsener, but all Bohemian Pilseners are pale lagers too.

Not my favourite pilsner. Has a strange smell to it. Colour is as should be, but the overall impression is a bit boring. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500ml can. Poured a clear medium-golden amber colour with a one-finger white bubble head that retained a little and laced OK. Very low carbonation with only a few small bubbles. Aroma of sweet malt and grain. Taste dominated by malt; no real bitterness. Light body. Short slightly sour finish. Poor.
