cgarvieuk (4160), Edinburgh, Scotland Jul 15, 2008 draught ... Orange ... light fruity nose ... fizzy fruity hop again ... bit sweet ... not my thing. thewolf (5662), Kolding, Denmark Jul 13, 2008 Tap @ Plachetnice, Plzen.
Pours dark golden with a frothy, medium, white head. Aroma is a little grainy, weak grassy hops. Rather thin and watery palate. Flavour is okay, subdued malts, but finishes off well with a good dose of dry and bitter hops. yespr (11649), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 11, 2008 From tap at Plachetnice, Pilsen. Pours clear and golden yellow to orange with a chalkwhite and slowy collapsing white head. Hoppy aroma. Flavour is light caramel malty with a light bitterhops flavour and mild fruity note. Ends dry and bitter, refreshing and smooth. harrisoni (6704), Ashford, Kent, England Jul 9, 2008 On tap at Plachetnice, Plzen. Gold, lasting beige head. It’s a clean tasting ok lager, bit of weird fish paste flavour. It’s a pretty good lager, some hop on finish. Doggythedog (1541), Split, Croatia Jul 5, 2008 On tap at Plachetnice, Plzen. Nice clear orange body, thick white head that went away slowly. A nice hoppy nose with some malty notes. Light sweet honeyish taste, some mineral water character. A bit bitterish and completely unremarkable. KnutAlbert (3111), Oslo, Norway Jul 4, 2008 Canned.
Golden beer.
Malty, full body, fine hoppy zing, too. A bit heavy, perhaps, but a decent beer. coldbrewky (716), Saugerties, New York, USA Jun 1, 2008 Draft, Cand and bottle: The golden color they speak of is distnctive and the malt body is a bit larger than that of their regular 12 degree but other than the packaging, I could not distinguish andything separate from the normal Kursovice line of products. tlind2 (560), Helsinki, Finland Apr 28, 2008 500 ml can. Pours a clear amber color with a decent white head. Slight malty aroma. Taste is medium-to-full-bodied, with sweet malt flavor and notable bitterness in the finish. A drinkable pilsner.
As a side note, I’ve also tasted this beer off tap in Prague a few years back, and it seemed slightly better then.
