5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 austinpowers (2827) - New York, New York, USA - APR 7, 2008Bottle. Bought at Takanaya Liquor Store. Magnificent! Sweet and very fruity in flavor - like a whole truck of apricots (or whatever) got dumped into the barrel. One of the best japanese beers I’ve ever had. Could be grapefrults? No matter. Bit cloudy and bronze. 5 stars!
3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 sulawang (408) - British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 26, 2012
pours slightly cloudy marmalade orange, quickly dissipating head, minor ringed retention, lots of active CO2 streams, no lacing. Fruity orange/lemon scent. Drinks with thicker than water viscosity, instant bitter カボス peel up front, lime-lemon-yuzu like pulpy sweetness in the mid, 6/10 mellow honey sweetness until the off-dry 2/10 bitter finish. Lots of aromatic citrus fruit on the exhale. Medium-high complexity, med-high depth, excellent carry, silky mouthfeel, med-long length. Quite extraordinary for a fruity ale to have such depth, complexity, and balance.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 thebeertourist (4257) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 18, 2010
Bottle. Cloudy pale yellow with a small, fast disappearing head. Overpowering lime aroma. Tastes like lime lemonade, though with a sweet and spicy honey tang. A refreshing and somewhat original lemonade, but very little beer character.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 faroeviking (10274) - FAROE ISLANDS - SEP 7, 2009
Bottella. Cloudy deep amber colour, huge head. Bitter lemon and honey aroma, quite pleasant. Good filling mouthfeel. Bitter lemon sweet and dry honey flavour. Dry bitter lemon finish. Very nice indeed!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DougShoemaker (3148) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 9, 2009
Bottle @ Mondial 2009.
Nose is funky. fruity and yeasty, opaque golden/orange, small off-white head. Taste is honey, malt and lemons. Light bodied, balance works quite well, pleasantly sweet and surprisingly drinkable. Really good!
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 KyotoLefty (4719) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAY 31, 2009
Bottle at the brewery.
Very sweet honey and citrus balance. Very extreme flavors of the additives cover up what seems to be very mediocre beer. Bitter-sour finish is pretty nice. Sweet, fruity, rather pleasant drink, but not very beer-like.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 chuwy (35) - JAPAN - JUL 18, 2008
Very sweet but the sweetness is balanced with the tartiness (is that a word?). Makes a good, lively and refreshing summer ale.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 TimE (2584) - Tokyo, JAPAN - NOV 10, 2007
Cloudy orange color. Tart. Very, very citrusy, but the honey strangely balances things out. Sweet honey in orange sode. Too sweet, but interesting and at least now I feel healthier.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 JoeMcPhee (7618) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 24, 2007
33 cl bottle. Very cloudy deep amber-gold beer with a thin white head. Aroma is very sweet and fruity with notes of orange and grapefruit (juice, not peel). Very little in the way of malt aroma or hops. Whoa... very strange flavour, sweet orange juice with a light fizzy texture and the underattenuated worty character that was seen in the blonde ale as well. All orange and citrus fruit juiciness up front followed by light breadiness. Not much in the way of hop flavour or bitterness. Warming bumps up the bready character a little bit, but it’s nowhere near enough to save this trainwreck. Way too sweet but it’s probably delivered my RDI of vitamin C.
