Fast gone, medium, dense, lightly amberish-tinted head on clear, pale chestnut coloured beer. Roasted nose, as roasted nuts in caramel. Sweetish smelling, leafy, rainwater - very Oktoberfest/Vienna indeed. Not really sweet in the mouth. Again leafy, rainwater, earthy. Very slight bitterish-spicy character, maybe a tad mineral. Very light body, spritzy, mineral water feel. Might seriously benefit from a tad more body.

Red coppe color white persistent head. Aroma is malty and caramely. Sweet taste, with malts, caramel and a slightly bitter finish.

Kolor bursztynowy, wpadający w miedź. Piana wysoka, lecz szybko opada do zera. Ledwo wyczuwalny aromat słodowy. Mało intensywny, słodki, dość wodnisty smak. Piwo niczym się nie wyróżnia, jest jednak lekkie i bardzo pijalne.

DAAIS; On tap. Pours clear cobber with a lasting and lacing frothy white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, cardboard and grass. Taste is moderate sweet and moderate bitter with a moderate lasting finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin, carbonation is avarage.

It’s quite interesting, especially because of it’s color. Czerwone which means red is truly a little bit red-amber which looks really good. Comparing to other lagers from Kompania Piwowarska this one is actually quite worth to try.

The aroma is pilsener with a faint hint of caramel. The colour is darkish orange, the head medium-sized and not really stable. The taste is bitter with just a little bit of sweetness and a slight touch of metal. Light plus bodied, average carbonation, bitter finish. Basically a very slightly caramelised pilsener, not really something I’d feel the need to come back to.

Unlike other so-called eurolagers, Ksiazece actually tries to be something more and it comes close to some of the promises it makes. Of course it is no match for real craft beer, but the effort itself is admirable.

Recenzja z 30.12.2013. Piana wysoka, powoli opada, zostawia gruba warstwe, troche oblepia szklo. Kolor herbaciany, idealnie klarowne. W zapachu slod, karmel, lekki trawiasty chmiel. W smaku polpelne, dosc mocno wodniste, lekki karmel, lekko cierpkie, ale ogolnie to prawie bez smaku. Goryczka praktycznie niezauwazalna, tylko lekkie sciagajace odczucie, aromat trawiasty. Wysycenie niskie.

440ml can, kindly shared by djoeye. Slightly off-white head to an amber coloured body. Patchy rings to the glass. Semi-sweet earth malty nose. Caramel and dried fruity flavours. Modest malt bitter endnotes. Medium bodied. Satisfying (Tromsø 30.01.2014).
