2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Ultra-shortlived off-white head over clear copper beer with a verdigris sheen. Obviously spicy, with rosemary, lemon, lemongrass, coriander, cola, and especially ginger; and strangely enough, some mace. Coriander however fully dominates the taste, with fake citrus and a peppery point of ginger. Retronasal, I would venture some cinnamon, maybe. Light body, watery; spritzy carbonation, slick. Coriander-ginger ale. Pepsi beer.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAR 29, 2013 0.5 bottle. Nice, big slightly off-white head, dark amber color, completely clear. Extraordinary aroma, amalgam of notes: forefront is full of citrus fragrances, orange peels, cinnamon, clove, some honey and many more spices. In the beginning it resembles Witbier to a great extent. Flavor is mostly composed of gingerbread, again orange peels, some cinnamon too. Body is medium at best, texture kind of creamy with slick tendencies, carbonation is average. Finish is medium long only which is unfortunate as all the spices recur in it with double the strength. All in all it’s a really good beer, could use some more ABV but at a cost of anything else, more body.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
500ml bottle. Surprise indeed. Sweety and aromatic with good balanced herbs and spices nutes, espacially cinnamon. Some bitter nutes in palate with excellent, well balanced honey nute. White, medium thick foam stays for circa 2 minutes. Browny colour. I drank it from cold bottle but probably it;s worth to drink it warmed. Overall, Tyskie is not my favorite brewery to be honest, but this beer is worth trying.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. What a great surprise, a genuinely good beer from this brewery! At first the citrusy aroma bears some resemblance with witbiers but after a short while it becomes akin to German style gingerbread. Cinnamon, ginger and cloves are discernible in equal proportions, the light citrus from the orange peel blends in nicely and the malty and honey hints are less prominent. Light to medium body, light honey sweet, flavour of root spices and a light bitter, spicy and warm finish. Could use some more body and ABV but even as it is, this one is really good!
