UPDATED: FEB 25, 2007 I’m not sure where these other cats were drtinking this beer but it probably wasn’t in Dominica after a full day of diving. 7 oz stubby is quite refreshing when cold in the focking heat of Dominica. Medium golden and sweet. Well balanced maltiness for the area produced. Not exported to the states. I look forward to it on the next dive trip.
2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 DrZao (128) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUN 7, 2008
Aroma typical of most lagers to me. Flavor has grain and citrus with a nice somewhat creamy palate. Very refreshing. As lagers go, I think this is a fine beer. Certainly do not think it is "not enjoyable at all", as others did. I’m not sure if I just have a very undiscriminating palate, or perhaps this beer is best enjoyed in it’s warm tropical home country of Dominica.

bottle. Poured clear pale straw colour with and initially huge white head. Kind of a sweet, slightly skunky hop aroma. Light mouthfeel with average carbonation. Kinda odd bready tortilla flavour with a malt backbone. Quick finish, not horrible.

I was in Dominica and had this beer. I did notice a slight skunky odor to it. However, it was palatable. I wouldn’t mind trying it again. Does anyone know if you can buy it here in the States?

Rating #900. Not a very good plan. A friend brought this back on this cruise through the Caribbean. Poured a clear yellow color with a smaller white head. Aroma was grass, corn and malts. Metallic flavors, with grass and corn. Ok beer. Better it would be better in the sun. Below average here in the states.

The brewery makes a big thing out of this being brewed with natural spring water but, in truth there is nothing very special here. A palatable, but unexciting lager. Garraway Hotel bar, Roseau, Dominica.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 Lumpy (1802) - Carrollton, Texas, USA - OCT 23, 2005
Bottle. Nose-steak, mushrooms, corn. Taste-perfume, adjuncts, corn syrup, skunky. Ugh.
1.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 detroiter (958) - Euphoria, Minnesota, USA - MAR 9, 2008
Lemon skunk aroma as soon as the cap is lifted. The lemon (but not the skunk) fades after it is poured into a glass. Clear golden beer, nicely effervescent with a fluffy white head and good retention. Odd grainy flavor at first, quite herbal and a bit grassy as well, but sadly these are not enjoyable at all. Decent enough body for the style, smooth on the tongue. Thanks to the Blondestar for the bottle.
