Bottle 50cl. Hazy deep amber, tall frothy light tan head, good retention, fair lacing; aroma is sweet malty, wheat, light banana, spicy notes, tad of citrus; taste is medium sweet and light bitter, malty, wheat, with average duration, mild sweetbitter aftertaste with a light acidic touch, bit peppery; medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation; maybe somewhat thin in the finish, despite that a nice Weisse.

Hazy brown appearance with the big fluffy Hefeweizen head. Coffee, some plums, nutty, roasted malts, some fresh yeasty spiciness. Bananas are not very present. Taste is again nutty, roasted malts, hints of coffee and plum, some other red fruits, a bit vineous. Also has this dry chalky vineous feeling some dark sours have, without being sour. Silky mouthfeel, quite light overall, just a little bit watery. An interesting and different take on the Dunkelweizen style, and not bad. I?ve had more malt-forward Dunkelweizens which were messed up, this one?s pretty good. Not outstanding though, but definitely interesting.

Bought in Bad Aibling. Poured into Weiss glass. Look: Copper with nice, thick and foamy head. Smell: Typical Dunkelweizen. Nothing great or special. Taste: Good and malty. Feel: Very smooth. Overall: Not bad. Probably not my favorite, but a decent example of the style.

Deep dark brown with a fine head, nose has plum wine, bread, a little coffee. Dry-sweet and red-fruity, with a spicy hint and a touch of cocoa. Very good.
