mds (2193) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 5, 2006
Bottle. Dark, murky brown with a fluffy brown head. The aroma is fairly interesting - smokey, nutty, with secondary notes of caramel and toast. Creamy mouthfeel. Toasty malt flavour with medium carbonation. Light smokey notes and somewhat watery at various moments. Bubble gummish fluffiness and the fruitiness is generally restrained. Purchased at Bierspezi Hoheluft in Hamburg on May 17, 2006.

(0.5L Bottle) Very dark brown beer with a large tan head. Slightly fruity with some caramel taste as well. Slightly dry aftertaste. A little bit of an artificial sweetner taste though. Not a bad beer.

500 ml bottle. Pours opaque brown, with initially decent but quickly dissipating head. Sweet on both the nose and the palate, with chocolate-citrus overtones, and esters on the palate. Decent mouthfeel, with pleasantly bitter-sweet aftertaste.
