12 oz. bottle shared at the Beer Download table at DLD 2013- thanks! Pours a cloudy amber-brown color. Heavy caramel, brown sugar, banana, and honey, but there’s a plastic note in the flavor that throws it off. Medium-bodied, with a sticky, chewy mouthfeel and low carbonation. Decent mead.

Bottle from trade with umich03jm. First mead ever, so this is a new one for me. Pours a medium brown, minimal head. Interesting, sweet aroma, almost get some grape and candy notes. The flavor is sweet but not really overdone, with some underlying flavor notes of ripe fruit that lingers into the finish. Interesting and enjoyable. Nice to break some new ground. Thanks, Jason!

Bottle from 2012 Winter Solstice. Pours a clear amber color with almost no head. Aroma is spiced honey with hints of caramel and banana. Taste is moderately sweet, lots of honey and caramel. Banana is there too along with some bubblegum and flowers. Very odd mix of flavors but its pretty good. Nice alcohol warming in the finish. Solid Braggot but I’ve had many better at Kuhnhenn’s.

[4952-20121116] 355mL bottle. Really weird honeyed plastic fresh mango spruce aroma. Slightly hazy, red amber body with a quick bubbly head. Definitely notice the orange mango oil characteristics in the flavour but interesting in its pineapple spruceness. So interesting but so odd. (6~/3/6/3/13) 3.1

2012-11-16. Dark amber-brown body, headless. Boozey aroma, very strange fruity character, raisins, grapes, odd vegetal-herbal-resin quality is almost retsina like? Notes of concord grape like fruit character. 6+ Flavour is similar, quite sweet in the core, and the same weird herbal-fruit melange. 6_ Smooth medium bodied palate, low carbonation. Super interesting, but a bit bizarre. Curious if that is how it is intended or if it is a function of age. Bottle, note on cap says 12/2011 via trade with flandersned

Bottle 355 ml
Aroma: spruce wet hints with mild feel soft backing , molasses with sweet side
Look: fine haze on dark amber , lighter top
Taste/palate: sweet plum, sugars with juniper berry. Low carbonation. Satisfying , red apple sweetness behind. Feel of raw mango. Good.

Deep amber-red pour with a bit of head. The aroma is very unusual. A sort of retsina resin and some rosin sort of character. Aged malt and a bit of red grape character. Loads of honey and spice as well as pine resin. A bit of sweet fruit and some sort of plasticky finish. Strange stuff.

Thanks to Rogueone for sharing a bottle. Pours a deep amber color with a minimal white head. Spots of lacing and sticky legs on the glass. Aroma of sugar cookies and fruit. Rich and sweet body with flavors of toffee, candied fruit and honey. The finish is sweet with a fruity aftertaste. Decent overall.

I cannot remember who traded this to me, but thanks! Deep brown pour flecked with gold. A trace of carbonation but the body doesn’t look too sludgy. Nose is of course strongly honeyed and there’s a healthy dose of brown sugar, but I picked up some tartness too (Kuhnhenn brand infection?). It’s there in the taste as well, and it honestly provided a mild and welcome contrast to the sweetness of the brew overall.

Very dark tan head. Brown sugar on the nose. Slight bitterness brown sugar, easy drinking.
