Amicable butterscotch laces the dates and figs...Fresh cereal and obvious alcohol recall a beer’s younger moments...Cherry and plantane esters ride the residual sugars to the dessert table...

Bottle: Muddy brown, moderate to large foamy beige head, fairly nice lacing.   Bready aroma, very slight fig/date, moreso sour fruit skin.   Sour fruit skin all over this one, with only a smidgen of dark pitted fruit.   Somewhat thin in the mouthfeel, body is moderate.   As it warms and finishes, picks up a bit more fig/date, as well as some immature cherry, alcohol, and chocolate.   Somewhat like a beer battered chocolate covered cherry.   Not great, but not bad either.   Thanks jtw for the bottle!

Draft sampler at MBG Winterfest. Poured a dark amber color with a large frothy head that lasted. Heavy sweet banana aroma. Medioum body with a sticky texture. Good caramelized flavor with a long smooth finish. Interesting brew.

Apr 2005 batch (best before Apr 2006). Stained wood brown color… thin bubbly head. Sweet aroma… figs, fruit, blueberries, bubblegum, sour wood. Toned down flavor of sour wood, sweet fruit, chemicals, old hops, slightly roasted malt. I say "toned down", but it is still quite good.

Bottle shared by Jason - best by 4/18/2006. Hazy brown body that leaves a good lacing. One fuck of an aroma that’s hard to describe - strong esters and effervescent perfume over tootsie roll and unripe pear. The flavor is also big - starts with a punch of unripe bitter fruit, pine and chocolate and settles down to a crisp green apple and caramel malt. Medium palate.

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2006 Thanks Jason. Best before 4/18/06. Pours to a clear brown body with a yellow hue. Ultra fine particulate. The aroma is full of millions of esters. It almost comes off as some kind of felt tipped marker. Burnt brown sugar and apples. The flavor comes off as banana’s foster without the icecream. Apples are also apparent. The palate is silken and velvety. 6, 3, 8, 4, 15 = 3.6
Resampled at GTWM 2006. Pours to a murky brown body with a fizzy cola head. The aroma is strange. Lactose. The flavor is sweet lactose. A medium body. 6, 4, 6, 3, 12 = 3.1

12 oz bottle "bottled on "4-18-05 Poured a dirty brown with a thin tan head. Aroma’s were filled ith banana’s apples and esters. Light carbonation medium to light mouthfeel. Flavors covered up the alcohol very well. Bown surgar, dark fruits and figs are present in the flavor, along with a bready carmel malt finish.

12 oz bottle, via Styles. Murky brown pour with minimal head, very little carbonation visible. Lots of fruity esters, mainly bananas and some apple. Lightly sour aroma in the background with a mix of dark fruits. Very fruity and vinous flavor but clearly a little bit of sourness imparted by the early stages of infection. Not enough to cover up everything, but maybe some of the more subtle aspects of the flavor. Medium bodied with low carbonation. I can see the potential here, but clearly not the best sample. I will seek out another bottle of this and re-rate when possible.
