On tap at Mich Brewer’s Fest. 8% ABV. 100% pepper beer. Decidedly still beer, but decidedly emphasizing pepper flavor (at some heat, especially in the finish). Really captured the pepper flavor well, beyond that it was standard ale I suppose.

Sample at MBGSF10. Poured clear brown color with an average frothy light brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy peppers and spice aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy complex hot spice flavor with a medium to heavy hot finish of moderate to long duration. Another complex good brew for style.

Sample @ MBGSF. Pours a hazy amber brown color with a small white head. The aroma had caramel malt sweetness, an earthy note and spicy peppers. The flavor had a strange maltiness, a big spicy pepper component, a hint of smoke and light fruits. Interesting and worth trying once.

Michigan Brewer’s Guild Summer Festival 2010. Deep amber pour. The nose is softly fruity with a bit of light sweetness. A little bit toasty as well. Flavour has fruity chile pepper character. Peppery and quite spicy - although not as much as it could be. Lingering toastiness with a bit of fruit. Sort of a slightly peppery amber ale.
