2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Styles (2014) - Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA - MAR 9, 2005
Tap: which by the looks of it didn’t work out as well as the bottle. Dark mahogany color with whispy film for a head. Every category was lacking. Almost astringent/metallic tatse to it.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 flemdawg (502) - Naples, Florida, USA - SEP 18, 2004
From the bottle with 2004 date on the lable. Cider like in apperance. Dark red(mahogony) with suspended particles. Just a ring of white bubbles consituted the head. Dark smelling. Nuts, some fruits, yeast. Lots of flavors in this one. Malts, a fruity kick(i am thinking grapes mainly) and just a touch of hops all mixed in to form a tasty brew.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 walleye (944) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - AUG 3, 2004
from the bottle. poured a muddy amber with no head. aroma toffee, fruits like apples, yeast, hints of green grapes and mixed nuts.flavor slighty fruity,, hints of alcohol, sour dough all were weak I think I let this one sit too long and got too warm. so I decided to try another one that was colder and the flavors did come out a little more this is a beer that you need to drink around the 45 degree range. another good one from the brewery
4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 ClarkVV (3578) - Allston, Massachusetts, USA - JUL 4, 2004
UPDATED: OCT 15, 2004 2004 bottle. Confirmed different than the Sticke Alt, which they sell side by side to this. Pours a delightful mix of browns, beiges, coppers and golds, bottle conditioned!!! with a good fleeting off-white head. Aroma of light nuttiness, chewy toffee, some earthy, soily hops, lightly dry yeast and hints of metal. Flavor is just bursting with malt, light earthy hops and yeast. The flavor hits you right away, washes over your palate and dosent leave. Who would ever have thought this little alt would prove such an incredibly flavorful, yet ever so drinkable beer?? Not me. But it is, wonderfully balanced and smooth. Medium to medium full body, but light enough on the palate to be able to drink a number of these. I was so impressed, my friend and I both actually, that we bought a case. Incredible beer, the bottle conditioning adds flavor and life to this one.
