Bottle thanks to Sean! Pours a cloudy deep orange with minimal carbonation and no head. Aroma has an odd sour note with some backing banana and sweet grains. Flavor begins with tart fruits but finishes with smooth grains, a hint of spice and a bit of banana. Leaves a slightly unpleasant aftertaste. Really odd, a German Hefe.

12oz bottle from the brewpub. 2011 Summer Solstice. Pours a very cloudy, fairly ugly dirty orange, pink tinted body with a thin, somewhat fizzy, white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is grainy wheat and very yeasty with clove, slightly sweet banana, and a somewhat tart pineapple. Flavor is similar and somewhat flat. Lots of wheat with some bready grains along with plenty of yeast. Lots more of the fruity, somewhat tart pineapple citrus throughout as well as the clove and banana. Finishes dry, yeasty, and slightly tart along with a smooth wheat. Medium length aftertaste following a thinner medium body and a very light carbonation. Overall, after visiting the brewpub and being thoroughly impressed, my first experience with one of their bottles was a disappointment. This has plenty of flavor, but it seems flat and muddled. The wheat, yeast, and slightly tart fruit never comes together for me.

12oz Bottle. Thanks Sean! Incredibly minimal aroma, with a suggestion of Brett or Lacto. Insanely yeasty. This looks like cloud-beer soup. What am I drinking? I thought this was supposed to be a German Hefeweizen, but it tastes like a fruit beer of some kind. This has got to have some sort of pale fruit and spices in it. Carbonation is very low. Odd and confusing. Sweet. The flavors aren’t bad, but they’re not Hefeweizen, they taste like maybe a Grapefruit Wheat. I’ll drink it, but way, way, way off style. Reminds me of early homebrew.

12oz Bottle, Unusual appearance, butterscotch in color and extremely cloudy and unfiltered looking. Very minimul swirl laying on top. Aroma is perfumy with sweet tropical fruit, pineapple. Body is medium and well carbonated, leaving a slight puckering dry finish. Flavor is tart with fruit, again getting some pinapple and yeast. Overall an interesting brew.

Bottle thanks to FlandersNed. Pours like grapefruit juice with pulp. Interesting and odd. Nose of grapefruit, banana, wheat, papaya and tangy citrus. Taste is smooth and similar. Body is a little thin. Very sessionable.

Bottle; Pour is murky golden with a modest white head that retains on the average side. The nose is spicy wheat, apple skins, biscuits, and bananas. The flavor profile is banana, apple skins, brown sugar, cloves, and spices. This is an interesting wheat ;

What a show. Thick orange unfiltered mass with a small lasting white head. Vanilla and wheat aroma. A little bitterness overwhelmed by thick wheat. A treat. Like I am at the brewpub this record hot day.Chris’s gift. Good drinkability.

bottle thanks to Olga... pours an ugly dark honey gold, milky, with a bad brown tinge. light tan head, watery gone right away... tons of clove on the front, yeast as well, thankfully not picking up an ambrosia, very strong clove, too much, almost overpowering... the taste is summer light compared to the nose, too light, though this would have tons of flavor, tons of wheat, banana, clove, light tea finish is a bit off putting... mouthfeel is watery... its 100 degrees out so this is refreshing but I don’t think its much special
