Served in a SAVOR wine glass. Pours an amber-brown color with a thin off-white head and a bit of a collar throughout. The nose carries some heavy malt and a bit of a musty character. Bit of booze as well. Flavor has similar issues. Perhaps oxidized, but not quite to the level I’d expect with that. Mild fruit. Medium body, low carbonation, and a boozy finish. Boom.

Dogbrick (8507) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - AUG 25, 2011
Sample at the brewpub. This beer is a ruddy orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malt, fruit and hops. Full body with flavors of grainy malt, hops, caramel and fruit. The finish is hoppy up front and leaves a lingering citrusy hops aftertaste. Good Barley Wine overall.
