Super thick dark black pour with possible the darkest thick head I have ever seen. Nose is mainly roast and coffee. Taste follows the nose. Mouthfeel almost like a milkshake. Very nice no frills stout. Like a meal.

What a nice beer! This easily hangs with the big boys: Abyss, Darkness, Speedway, etc. Thick black pour with a thing tan head with almost a red hue. Malty sweet is quickly subdued by bold hops and coffee notes. Nice bitterness on the finish with only a touch of alcohol. 2012 vintage.

Bottle with black label and 9.25% abv. Dark black pour, with a nice sized chocolate mouse head. Nice looking stout. Massively roasted, bitter dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, bit of caramel, and hops. Fairly dry tasting because it’s so roasty and bitter. Tasty and quite enjoyable. Thanks polomagnifico.

A nice brown lace sits on top of a rich pure dark color in my glass. The scent is of coffee, wood, roasted malts, and a chocolate aroma. Tasting this Imperial Stout I picked on coffee and malts primarily. There is a lite chocolate flavor. In the finish I was left with a coffee, roasted malts, and hops that coated my mouth. The finish has a mild bitterness too. Overall this is a fine drink. The rich ingredients stick to the palate but are pleasing and not too tainting.

12oz bottle, thanks to umich03jm. This 2012 vintage bottle has a black label with yellow print on the front, with an eagle behind the word "American". It is labeled 9.25%. Pour is almost completely black, very thick. Great thin darker brown head. Great lace. Awesome big roasty malt nose. Coffee and dark chocolate in the aroma. Big, super chewy body. Light carbonation. Long delicious roasty chocolatey coffee aftertaste, great to savor and sip on. Big roasty bitter taste. Light hint of caramel / chocolate (bitter-)sweetness. Only a slight bite in the finish. Big bitter hops noticeable. Great big imperial stout.

booyah! thanks to umich03jm for this!! dark black pour aroma was almost perfection - 9 for me which is as high as I have ever rated a beer; slight wood, malt, and chocolate!!! 4 for palate; very smooth - wanted this to be chewier but that is nitpicking. Taste - damn damn damn I love this stuff!! the dark chocolate in the taste of this beer could not be better and is phenomenal!! beer was sweet up front with the chocolate all the way through past the end; a little boozy. thank you Jason - WOW!!

Bottle from mikem409 pours jet black with small tan head. Nose is full of dark chocolate. This transfers straight to palate with roast and booze on the edges. Body is slick and full. Booze is perfect, not to hot. This is great. Thanks again for the killer box mike.
