3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Ibrew2or3 (5823) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - MAR 3, 2013
6oz green glass bottle pours water clear with just a slight gold hue to it and leaving behind thin legs around the glass. The aroma I straight up sweet honey as well as some earthy notes, a paper quality and booze at the end of the draw. The taste is similar with smooth sweet honey that is cut by drying alcohol and a modest degree of spicy black licorice into the finish. Overall it seems kind of thin and maybe a bit short on residual sweetness as well as the treatment flavor at this point is really mild, which might just be the age of the bottle doing this.

Bottle split with Ibrew2or3, thanks Dave.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 thedm (4783) - Fort Wayne, USA - DEC 29, 2012
This bottled brew from rbsg #32 poured a small sized head of frothy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a transparent yellow white colored body. The aroma was sweet and like some kind of jelly bean. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish dry aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of mildly vinous sweet jelly bean and honey. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 PhillyCraft (2119) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 16, 2012
UPDATED: AUG 17, 2012 Bottle from jimmy split 3 ways. Pours a very clearish gold pour with no head or lace. Aromas of licorice, settled lemon lime soda, wood, lime, dr pepper, teaberry, and mint. Taste is listerine mouthwash, mint, lime, liquid black licorice jelly beans. Nice, refreshing and boozey at the same time. The overall smell and taste remind me of teaberry. Could go for a stick of teaberry gum or the ice cream version from springers. Aftertaste is a little spicy and floral with some residual honey.

6 ounce green nip bottle thanks to MeadMe, and shared it at Matt’s in Chicago, poured a clear golden color aromas of anise, some light honey and oak was thrown in. Flavors were all the jelly beans in the world you could imagine, ligght sweetness on the palate, amazing mead, flavors blended so nicely. In my opinion this was the star of the night’s tasting because it surprised me so much. Thanks again Greg for the bottle.

Bottle on the RBSG 2012 bus. I didn’t get an iota of licorice/anise/black jelly bean from this. There was, however, plenty of tart, almost acidic fruits (apple?) and a firm honey base. Weird but not bad.

Pours a clear, very pale yellow color. Nose of anise/licorice, cloying sugary sweetness, and booze. A touch of yeast, some white wine grapes, lightly sweet. The flavor is quite sweet, almost cloyingly so. It’s not quite as heavy on the licorice flavor as I expected, but still there. Grape sweetness, a touch of apple, and alcohol.
