Draft. Pours near black with a beige head. Hard roasted malty aroma with coffee and a light fruity sweetness. The flavor has hard roasted malts, light smokey notes, and some dark fruity sweetness. Good stuff.

on tap at rattle n hum, first taste at this place, was very excited because i wanted to brew a blueberry porter and was hoping this would be some sort of inspiration. nose is toasty, roasty, subtle breadyness, what you would expect from a porter, reminds me of some porters tasted in the uk, no blackberry to speak of, taste is the same, as the nose, good, quality porter but no blackberry in the taste either. I almost asked the bartender if she gave me the wrong beer.

On tap at RnH Kuhnhenn event. I would have gotten a bunch of first ratings in if my computer had been working right - oh well. Tangy berry and coffee aroma. Lots of coffee flavor and hickory smoke, but not much blackberry - where is it? A good brew, but not quite what it claims to be.
