Pours a nice light yellow hue. Aromas of fresh honey, flowers and oak. Flavor is honey forward. Hints of spice and fresh fruits. Light vanilla and a big blast of barrel in the finish. Nice body, smooth and good. Love it.

Tasting courtesy of dschiller. I will preface by saying I have not had a lot of meads, so while enjoyed this experience it is not something I am used to. Pours a bright gold and when swirled leaves behind a nice glaze clinging to the glass. Aromas are very sweet though not cloying with mainly apple and just a touch of some wood. Flavors are sweet, somewhat maple-like with apple and maybe caramel. Palate is nicely thick and tongue coating though it gets a little much towards the finish. Overall this was a quite enjoyable experience, though I don’t like sweet drinks this one isn’t cloying like I find most ciders or sweet beers.

Nip bottle from Rayl101! Pours a still deep golden color with long legs on the side of my teku glass. Aroma is bourbon, rich honey and some fruitiness. Taste is sweet with caramel, vanilla and wood notes. Slick, rich and decadent. Awesome!

Bottle from trade with Sarro. Pours a light golden body with no head (of course). Nose is boozy honey tones with nuts, wood and hints of bourbon; not as evident as I expected. Taste is moderately sweet but actually rather dry honey notes, with subtle bourbon tones. Dry, with a generally smooth palate. Very nice, but not horribly exciting.

Nip sized bottle. 2012 Vintage. Golden color with no head. Aromas of honey, oaky/woodiness, and some fruitiness. Tastes of honey, apples, fruity, and vanilla. Almost more of a cider than a mead.

2012 anno, bottle courtesy of ibrew2or3, cheers Dave.

Bottle from BenC...thanks Ben! - Pours clear yellow with no head. Semi-sweet honey with a light caramel sweetness, a bit of white grape, and some mellow booze. Taste is pretty fruity, honeydew, white grape, honey and a woodiness/menthol on the finish. Warm but not boozy. Medium-bodied and slick. Super smooth...driving along a gentle curve, man.

6oz clear bottle pours deep clear gold. The aroma is smooth silky sweetness with hints of vanilla and yummy smooth bourbon. The taste goes from smooth silky sweet honey goodness slowly into pleasing smooth and even bourbon and booze. Fantastic stuff as it is smooth and well integrated.

Bottle at the Colorado Mead Tasting ’12. Pour is golden yellow with no head and great legs. Light bourbon, vanilla, sweet fruit, slight wood, green apples, and pear in the aroma. Taste is sweet vanilla, amaretto, almonds, honey, orange, light floral notes, and oak. Slick/syrupy mouthfeel with no carbonation. Really sweet and well-hidden alcohol.
