Bottle shared. Dark brown with no head. Aroma of massive chocolate, rich raspberry, vinous notes and honey/ floral notes. Flavour is heavy sweet. Full bodied with flat carbonation. This is amazing.

Bottle, thanks Tammy! Aroma has strong raspberry with red wine, honey, light alcohol, and light chocolate. Tastes mostly like raspberry and honey with a boozy red wine finish. Chocolate is very subtle. Medium to full body. Very good but a touch too boozy to make it up there with my favorites.

Glass at Kuhnhenn on 8/9/15. Dark purple pour with no head and sticky legs. Aroma of honey, raspberry and booze. Raspberry and honey flavor with a chocolate port finish. Superb.

On draft at the release at Kuhnhenn on National Mead Day. Looks good; a still and cloudy black raspberry. Smells and tastes good too; a nice balance of chocolate, raspberry, and honey. Mouthfeel is medium full-bodied and smooth. A fantastic mead that’s decadently delicious!

375ml bottle courtesy of and shared with Meadme.

Picked up a bottle from Kuhnhenn's by chance in May. Best alcoholic beverage I have ever had. Decadent aroma, flavors and mouthfeel. Like a very high quality port wine, but with no detectable alcohol. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle as Chocolate Raspberry Pyment (although pyment suggests wine, so this is almost definitely an alias of the Port version). Bloody red hued pour with massive and tight legs. Aromas are floral and honey like, sunflowers, dried fruit, mild raspberry, some acidity, earthy chocolate, nutty, barrel. Flavors are chocolatey, nutty, cocoa, alcohol, port, raspberry chocolate truffle, very rich, floral with dusty chocolate character. Huge maple component with hints of vanilla. Viscous and rich, absolutely decadent, barely kept in check by an acid and alcohol balance. Well done.
