Growler from Unclerudy from the local swap 2.0. Poured an ugly hazed up straw body, looks like a nectar, average sized foamy white head. Aroma of cereal, grains, dry toast and some corn husk. Medium bodied with stingy carbonation and an average duration on the aftertaste. Flavor of grains, cereal and some dry toast along with a slight touch of dry sweetness like a touch of old dried out molasses.

At the brewery, solid pilsner. Tasty, light and refreshing. It’s a good beer even though not my fave style.

Slightly cloudy pale yellow color with nearly no head. Nice aroma. Sweet pale malt, cereal, bread, light hops. Taste is nice sweet pale malt, slight bitterness, smooth finish. Exactly what you want from an American Pils. A perfect example for the style.

[4122-20111113] Tap. Light soapy yeast dough aroma. Clear, light yellow body with a quick creamy white head. More sweet sickly soapy yeast in the flavour with a lingering aftertaste. Medium body. Average. (6/3/6/3/13) 3.1

Sample at the brewpub (as "Classic American Pilsner"). The beer is a clear yellow-gold color with a medium thin white head that fizzes away steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of mildly spiced hops and malt. Light body with a light hops character that has grassy and fruity notes, plus some sweet malt in the background. The finish is short and mildly hoppy. Average overall.

This poured a straw yellow color with a white head. Aroma was light malts and some corn. Flavor was lots of corn, some other adjuncts and light malt and slight notes of grassy hops. Good for the style but that’s about it.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 ryan (3187) - Beltsville, Maryland, USA - MAY 1, 2010
Clear pale straw body, small white head. Nose definitely has a corn note, but other than that it’s pretty clean, light herbal hops. Taste is dough, light corn, grass and light lemon. Medium/light body is round with moderate carbonation. If the corn (which I can’t stand, even in bourbon) was less prevalent, I’d give this something closer to a 3.5
