Deep amber in color, this English session beer is roasty and malty on the nose. It has a light mouthfeel with a toasty nutty flavor. Don’t be afraid of it’s dark appear-ance, this malty beverage is very drinkable.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2015 Tap @ Kuhnhenn: Listed ABV is 4.5% now. Deep brown & burnt copper color with reasonable clarity. Capped with a dark-beige, fine bubbled head, moderate lacing left behind. Aroma is all malt with strong notes of caramel, cocoa powder, walnuts, wood, & a small touch of toasted grain. Relatively robust given the ABV. However the flavor is a little more bland; feels slightly watery. Caramel, wood, toasted nuts, a hint of grassy hops & something that almost has a cardboard flavor... Doesn’t seem like oxidation, just kind of cardboardy? Not terribly offensive, but certainly not optimal. Finishing light bitter & largely nutty. Thin body, easy to drink.
