thedm (3406), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Oct 19, 2006 This draft brew from the Michigan Brewers Guild festival poured a head of frothy dark brown colored bubbles that was mostly lasting and left behind a opaque no visible carbonation black colored body. The very nice aroma was vinous dark malt and mild bourbon. The mouth feel was smooth at the start with a vinous dark malt mild biting finish. The excellent flavor contained notes of roasted malt dark malt and bourbon. Delicious and one I would certainly love ot have again. timmy4 (11), USA Oct 3, 2006 Excellent dessert beer. Sweet coffee aroma with some chocolate. I tasted several stouts back to back on this day, and this was one of my favorites. ElGaucho (1721), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Nov 19, 2006 Draught at GTM’06. Sweet, toffee, buttery aroma. Not much head save a small ring. Totally opaque body. Sweet, beautiful buttery, butterscotch flavor. They nailed the creme brulee. Pailhead (2314), Allen Park, Michigan, USA Feb 20, 2005 Updated: Aug 13, 2007On tap: The aroma contains lots of expresso, chocolate, and cream. It’s a dark brown with no transparency and a small tan head. The flavor starts with lots of chocolate and some roasted malt. There’s lots of expresso in the finish with light vanilla and cream. The flavor reminds me of a dark chocolate and coffee truffle, 1FastSTi (2388), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA Aug 14, 2005 Updated: Aug 12, 2008On tap at GTMW 2007. This one smells absolutely amazing. EXACTLY like Crème Brûlée. WOW! The beer has a dark black body with a tan head and good lacing. The flavor was not sour like other people are bitching about. I got coffee and Crème Brûlée. The palate is a touch light. 10, 4, 8, 3, 17 = 4.2
Cask at GTMW 2008. HOLY HELL! Much better! I drank an absurd amount.
