COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A golden lager beer. A crisp malty flavor with a nice amount of bitterness. This aggressively hopped beer is made with lots of Czech Sazz hops. Lagered three months to ensure a clean crisp taste.

UPDATED: OCT 31, 2014 Tap @ Kuhnhenn: Listed as Bohemian Pilsner (same beer). Lightest beer I’ve ever seen. Like a well hydrated man’s urine. Lighter than straw, even. Bone white collar, not much head. Crisp, clean, lagery aroma but it’s hard to get any good descriptors. Maybe some light grains, faint pale malt? Nothing offensive, just very, very mild. Thin, watery on the palate, could use more carbonation for a better "snap". A very small hint of apple with a bit of grain & pilsner malt. Maybe some Noble hop earthiness. There really isn’t much to this beer, at all. Again, not "bad" per se, but what’s the point? In my opinion, Kuhnhenn’s Classic American Pilsner blows this one away.

on tap on the premises. hazy pale yellow pour with a nice very creamy white cap, good retention and sticky lacing. pils, sweetish maltiness, white grapes, grassy and floral nobleness, woodsy/astringent hoppy notes too, hint of sulfur. average carbonation, light body - very oily, assertive floral-peppery-herbal-grassy finish. improved attenuation would make this a tasty and genuine brew.

Good for a typically boring style. Pilsner malt and hops aromas. Brownish golden with a small head. Good carbonation and crisp mouthfeel. There was a slight harsh bitterness up front followed by pale earthy malt and lager yeast flavors. Easy to drink and better than most in this category.

This was called Bohemian Pilsner on the menu where I was at. Had it in part of a flight. Very light in color. Did have a bit of hops, not overpowering. There was this weird aftertaste. I couldn’t place it. This would have been a higher rated beer (maybe a 2.5-2.8 range) as I did find it unexciting, but enjoyable for a pilsner. The aftertaste dropped it this low. Had from tap so not assuming bad batch or bottle. Not willing to try it again.

Draft at Kuhnhenn. Pours a slightly cloudy pale yellow color with a small head that lingers a bit. Aroma is grainy malt and sweet bread with some light grassy hops. Taste is very refreshing. Just the right amount of sweetness, moderate bitterness. Bready and biscuity malt. Grassy hop finish. Very easy to drink, perfect for a nice day like today. My kinda pilsner.

Draft. Aroma has notes of honey, citrus, cereal malts and lager yeast. Medium golden hue with an average white head that mostly diminished and left no lace. Flavor is medium sweet and lightly bitter. Palate is medium to light bodied and average carbonation. Overall a really good pilsner. Complex and well balanced. One of the best Pilsners I can remember.

draft... this was called the Bohemian Pilsner at Winter Solstice... a really dark pilsner, deep copper gold, this is much better than the Imperial American, good for the style but boring for me

[4117-20111113] Tap. Not much aroma, a little grain. Clear, light brown orange body with a medium-lasting creamy white head. Grainy flavour has a little toasted corn ground into it. Medium body. Not my favourite style but OK. (5/3/6/3/12) 2.9

On tap at brewpub. Pours clear golden with white head. Aromas of grassy hops and some grains. Flavor is again grainy with crisp grassy hops. Not a hop bomb by any means, but a nice refreshing pilsner none the less.
